Reviews of Glam Nails Sharpsburg
"Zero stars if I could. This was and is the only time iv been here. I went in for a gel toenail pedicure and acrylic nail removal and they tried to let me leave with the first set of pictures until I spoke up and still ended up leaving with the last set of pictures. In my opinion they left my nails looking horrible and the experience getting to this point was awful too. When I went in I had acrylic nails that were my own nails and no add ons (last pic for reference of how long) when they went to remove my nails she asked if I wanted them cut and I stated that they were my real nails and I didn’t want them cut a little, but she cut me off and just cut them all off at all different lengths. (I was heartbroken because I take pride in my nails and having them look nice) Then a younger man was working on my nails (same one who did my crooked toenail, which currently is the least of my worries) he went and got a tip and started prying the acrylic part off my nail. This was hurting me and stabbing the skin in the side of my nail. He also pulled one of the acrylic spots off taking a side of my nail off. Then I asked about soaking them off because that’s what I’ve always had and not them prying them off with a tip nail. We ended up soaking them and he finished and i went to the front in shock they were okay with letting me leave with my nails all crooked and stuff still on my nails bad. The lady who cut my nails got pretty defensive when I mentioned how awful they were at checkout and just sent me back to the same guy who did the first job. When he was “fixing” my nails I had to let him know about my thumb nail multiple times and he proceeded to file the side that was lower already and I kept mentioning how the other side was higher. I ended up stop fighting the battle and just left. I have never had such an experience and I just wanted to inform others about what happened."
"Bad service. I wanted a gel mani and gel pedi. Told this female in-charge about it when I came in. She told me to pick color by the wall. I said, I just want a white color. She assigned me to this nail tech and they talked in their ethnic language. The entire service took almost two hours. The nail tech was slow. She seems mediocre for the job. The pedi manicure was ok but I thought it was lack of cleaning. I had to prompt her to cut the hang nails a couple times. Then, when she did my mani, she did terrible job. I noticed she had to asked someone to put some liquid to the nail polish bottle. I thought it was strange but I didn’t say anything. My manicure looks unsatisfactorily done. The edges looks messy. The next day the color started to chip. I even showed to my co-workers and they agreed that looks terrible. I paid $63 plus $7 tip. The following day I called the place. He told me to come in the morning. So, I came and showed my finger nails polish to female in charge. What a horrible experience! Instead of fixing the situation and making the customer satisfied, this person in-charge accused me of waiting a week to come, which absolutely not true. I had my nails done Wednesday and I came back Saturday because I had to work Thursday, and called them Friday. This same person had to make assumptions that maybe the nail tech did a french mani, or nail art that is why I was charged $45 for pedi. When I even told her that I wanted gel mani and gel pedi in the beginning. She wouldn’t owned up for her mistakes. I left the place feeling humiliated. Beware of this place! Picture shown were on the first day. Go somewhere else where there is quality work, not in this place!"
"I went in with a friend for a modified SNS French tip. Showed my nail tech a picture and everything. Unfortunately the initial lady did not do the nails correctly and you could literally see my natural nail through the acrylic. Manager then got involved and tried to find a posh To go over the set SNS that would match my nail bed to no avail unfortunately. She redid my nails and I said just to paint them. I was there for 4 hours and was extremely disappointed and frustrated. The manager was in such a rush to fix my nails, she cut my fingers with the Dremel."
"My name is Catherine and I just got my nails done at Glam Nails. They were absolutely amazing and I had a great experience. I believe my nail technician’s name was Kai and he was great! I have no complaints. The atmosphere was lovely, as well as the staff. I will definitely be coming back. ♡ ( 'ω') ♡"
"Beautiful decor and more advanced pedicure chairs. Service was equally matched, staff was very pleasant. My pedicure wasn't rushed or half stepped. The gel polish choices are simple, they don't drift very far from the neutral colors. They also have kids ledi chairs available for the little ones. I was told to wait and another customer requesting the same service was taken before me would be my only concern."
