Allen Road Park

"We loved it. The basketball court and soccer field are great. We also played with our 8 month old at the playground. I love how the swingset is set up for the parent to interact with the baby. Great seating options for picnics. I would just suggest some fencing around the perimeter. Also please fix the water fountain."

"The basketball court is in great condition, the walking trail is nice for very young children, the playground is well appointed, the creek gorgeous, and even a sheltered picnic table. The futsal court is a fantastic heavily used resource by kids and adults from the apartments and mega homes alike. The pitch is in fairly good condition but is wearing fast. Sadly, use of both the futsal and basketball courts is limited by sunlight since there are no lights. There used to be lights but they have been out of commission for well over a decade. I hope the Sandy Springs Department of Parks and Recreation will add lights soon."

"Great little out of the way, hidden local park with great amenities. There is an elevation change throughout the park, but there's 2 parking lots, one at each level, and there's stairs from the higher elevation to the lowest. The Allen Rd, lower elevation, has a new playground, small pavilion (1st come,1st served only), and a great fenced in U12 Turf Soccer field and recently resurfaced (Feb, 2023) basketball court. Both are still 1st come, 1st served. I'm looking forward to the future expansion of the park, although it may be a few years out."

"This park is small but supplies a lot for everyone… playground, walking trail, covered sitting table, turf soccer field, and basketball court. It’s very nice, only downfall is that it’s a few hundred feet from 285."
