Reviews of Rainbow Falls
"This was an absolutely fantastic hike. It was about 30 minutes from the top parking area on signal mountain to the suspension bridge and the water. The water is low rite now so no big waterfall effect just a steady stream flowing. None the less its a beautiful place to hike into and have a picnic or just sit and read. There is lots of big rocks to sit on. Plenty of people walking through because multiple trail heads meet here. Overall a great experience. "One of the best natural waterfall in signal mountain. It is hard to find. Trust google map when you are on the trail. Look down to find the ropes. It is tough hike but worth it."
"I really love this trail. Since moving to Chattanooga, so far this has been my favorite trail. Easy hike. Me and my daughter swam in the water in front of the waterfall. It was super cold but it was nice after sweating."
"If you know how to use the ropes well it’s easy to get down and back up(tips at the end). This is one of my favorite falls anywhere around! Multiple people take dogs of various sizes. As of 9/24/22 the water was too low to swim much, but they had ropes the whole way down - which I hadn’t seen there be more than halfway since I had last come. It’s a pretty popular spot, but when I go early and/or go on the week I usually get it to myself for a while! Worth the work! Ropes tip: The easiest way to use the ropes going down is to face up the mountain and back down like you’re repelling! There are plenty of knots in the rope for good grip, and you can hold yourself easily if you’re in reasonable shape"
