"This was my second visit to the Commodore Westside. First time with Drake! Drake did an awesome job listening to my requests, offering advice, and cutting my hair. Cool environment, good service, and a cut that like - Wins all around. Good stuff, Drake! Thanks!"
"First timer here. Unfortunately, I have to give this place a bad review. I was not shown great service, nor was I satisfied with the result of my haircut. I booked my appointment with Drake, and expected for us to come to some accord with the consulting that was offered. We agreed to start with a 4 on the sides, trim the top, and work from there. I’ll take partial responsibility in the fact that you can’t expect to come to the barbershop without a clear definition of your cut, and expect to the barber to knock it out of the park. It happens, but I’ve learned my lesson not to try it again. When Drake finally turned me around, I wasn’t satisfied with the cut. I told him, and asked if he could cut down the sides to a 3, and tighten it up. He proceeded to tell me it was the last modification he could do, because he had another appointment. He proceeded to take 2 minutes to make the modifications, and felt like he was rushing. He turned me around again, and again I was unsatisfied. I told him if he could take some more off the top, because it was looking top-heavy. He proceeded to take two cuts off the top, and asked me again, and honestly couldn’t tell the difference. I wanted to respect his time, and trust that he could see what I couldn’t. I told him it was fine, and basically walked me out of the chair. I’m not sure if The Commodore is a place to offer styling with product to walk out of the shop, but he did not offer to style it. After taking the time to style it myself, I quickly noticed it had fallen way short technically. If it was stylish, I’d be satisfied and say well I didn’t expect to come out with that, but at least it’s clean and fresh. I’m disappointed with the service, and as much as I want to support this place, I’ll have to re-consider my decision to support the barbershop with my next haircut."
"Lou, IG @louwillfadeit, is one of the best barbers in ATL. If you are from the Northeast or are super particular with your haircuts - Lou does not miss. Fade - 5/5 - l get a drop fade and he never missed. Scissor work - 5/5 - I have curly/wavy hair and he is diligent about not cutting too much."
"The Commodore was referred to me about 6 years ago by a goo friend. I so say the service was good and the cuts were clean. I thought it was a great shop and continued to use them and their barbers. I tried a few different barbers, but found Ian Witherspoon and knew it was a solid match. He is attentive, kind, humorous, and gives my challenging head the best haircut ever! The best barber I have ever had. Don't be shy to give him a call or book an apt. He books up fast though.... be quick."
"Can’t get a decent haircut to save my life. I get it’s a gamble going to new barbers but I’ve cut hair for years now self taught and have never been so off base with what someone asked me for. Talked about getting it blended out on the bottom of the sides and back - that looks great - but the rest of my sides go all the way up to my crown the same length and then the back doesn’t? I asked for it to be shaped up, which to me means make it looks the same but cleaner. I don’t know what to call this. Looks like I’m working towards a rat tail mullet friar tuck. Why taper the back of my head in an angle and then take the sides all the way up like a high top one length. You be the judge, decide if you wanna pay $66 for whatever this is.."
