"I called to try to buy a hoop skirt/ crinoline for my daughter for homecoming. We need one that's larger than what we already have. When I first asked if they had them in stock the owner told me they did. I asked questions about the diameter of her fullest one to determine if it was larger than the one we already have and she told me that I would just need to come in and try on dresses. I told her I just needed to buy a hoop skirt and that I already had a dress but that we were 2 hours away and i wanted to check the fullness of the crinolines before we made the drive. She then told me that they didn't have any hoop skirts or crinolines in stock. I told her that she'd just told me she did and I asked "so you had them in stock, but now that I've told you that I don't need to purchase a dress from you've decided you won't sell me a hoop skirt?" And she said "uhm huh!" Indicating that yes, she was refusing to do business with me unless I bought a dress from her as well. It is poor practice and flat out greedy to refuse to make a sale on an item unless you can rope the buyer into making a larger purchase."
