Reviews of Kaba Hair Braiding
"Had an appointment for 7:30am they were calling at 7:15 asking where I was at. I arrived at 7:20am which is still early. Then gave me a higher price than originally quoted until I spoke with the owner Then all of a sudden it changed back to the quoted price. Showed the braider the picture of how I wanted my hair twice and she still did my hair the way she wanted to. Kept stopping on my head to have a conversation with others. Not satisfied at all and will not be back."
"Anta braided my hair since I was a little girl , she’s my favorite I LOVE HER , but I can never seem to book her as my braider they’re always super busy!!!!! However, the women that work in her shop isn’t so good , they braid like they do not want to be there . Also, If you go to kabbas do not let Miriam braid your hair . She will have the braids falling out around your edges . Currently what I’m going through . Protect your edges ladies or you’ll have to wait for them to grow back . or leave your edges out and just lay them down (baby hairs) ."
"Never again! I’ve been coming here off and on for over the past 20 years until a couple weeks ago when I attempted to get my hair braided after calling and asking if they could take me between 5-5:30 PM. They told me it was fine. I drove 45 minutes in bad weather and got there at 5:04 PM and was told all the stylists went home and to come back the next day. Never again!!!!!! They are unprofessional, uncaring and rude. There are far too many braiding shops that are more professional, then to keep dealing with them. I’ll spend my money elsewhere."
"This is my experience and I’m sure everyone’s will not be the same, but this was me first and LAST time getting my hair braided here! I arrived when they opened at 7:30am as a walk-in. There were about 8 braiders already there and 4 customers already in the chair. Asked for knotless and was started at 8am! NINE hours later, I was still getting my hair braided! Three different people braided my hair at 3 different times. They stopped to do other things the whole time. The worst part is that EVERY customer that walked in after I did, was serviced and finished before me. Also, they do what they want regardless of what picture you show as a reference. Braiders are inconsistent and at least one lady should not be allowed to braid-she can’t part and she braids slow! Do I like my hair, sure, it’s doable! Was it worth $200 and NINE hours of my day…….absolutely not!!!I will definitely not go back and would definitely not recommend to anyone else."
"Everyone experience is different so here is my honest review. Moving from New York to Ga 3yrs ago looking for an African braiding shop similar to back home was a challenge. Being recommend by a friend I tried Kaba. Me personally I never experience what some of these other reviews have I mean it’s an African braiding shop so you know what your are coming for. I’m not use to them having to wash my hair, in NY we come with our hair washed so that’s how i always come here. It’s always been an in and out thing for me maybe because i go during the week, now the weekend that’s another story. A lady by the name Georgia is the ONLY person in the shop who I let braid my hair . I tried others in the shop they were good too but Georgia takes her time she has a little conversation if you don’t like something she fixes it before you leave. Her customer service has always been great. I don’t let 2 people in my head at a time you can tell them no just one and they say ok . The price is super affordable and all the ladies in there pretty much say hi when you come and bye when you leave. Call book with Georgia I promise you will not be disappointed."
