"Ladies I had a hair emergency, I called the shop around noon. Made a appt for 5:30, I was out of there like 845! Great service, welcoming atmosphere. I will definitely be back"
"This is my new go to for my knotless braids . The atmosphere was calm and welcoming . The quality , time and prices are unmatched"
"Awesome experience and Fatima or Mimi can braid without causing excruciating pain. They actually left my baby hairs out and pricing was very reasonable. Quality of work was super amazing………."
"I just left this shop today and I got medium knotless braids and I absolutely love them! Nice, clean, and professional environment highly recommend!"
"Update to respond: I did look at it twice. However, you first gave me the mirror to show me the first cornrow you did. No single twist were done yet. The second time, I asked to see my hair after I caught a glimpse of the front because I felt they looked bigger than what I wanted. By then, the back was already finished and, as I stated previously, I didn't realize how large the back was until I got home and started lifting up all the twists. I don't have any complaints about the neatness. They were neatly done. Had I received the size I asked for, I'm sure I would have been pleased. Thanks. Disappointed. I went to African Beautiful Braids to get 2 strand twist on my natural hair, with a few cornrows on the side. I'm assuming who took my call and did my hair was the owner. She gave me a price range for the quote. When I got there for my appointment, I showed her the picture and asked if it would still be closer to $60. Of course she then says $70, the highest she quoted, even though the style was very basic and exactly what I described to her on the phone. At this point, she had not looked at my hair so I don’t think that’s what it was. But I didn't mind since I planned for it to possibly be $70. Well, I thought she heard me agree but apparently, she was under the impression that I only wanted to pay $60. So, what does she do? She puts huge sections in the back of my hair. After we discussed the price she even asked if I wanted it close together or far apart. And asked if I wanted it like the picture that I showed her. I told her "yes", that I want them close together and for my hair to be full. Again, that was her opportunity to tell me what she thought that job was worth. Well, all appeared to be fine but it wasn't until I got home and started lifting up the twist that I noticed just how big she sectioned my hair in the back. I knew something was up with the way she was moving too quickly through my head. As she was doing the front, I looked in the mirror and mentioned that the twist were bigger than I was expecting. She told me something about how she had to section it bigger so the twist wouldn't be too thin and told me the back is very full. Here I was thinking the front was too big while the back was twice the size. Meanwhile, I have had my hair twisted before in smaller sections and the twist still looked thick and full. When I paid her, I gave her $70 for the style because I thought that's what we agreed to. She at least had the decency to give me some money back. I wondered why but, at that point, little did I know, that it was because she knew she did what she felt was a $60 dollar job. However, what I got wasn't even worth $60. I could have done huge sections in my head at home. I think it would have been more professional to communicate that either I pay more for what I came for or pay less for huge sections that are wide apart and clearly not what I wanted. But I never got the option. While I can at least respect that she gave some money back, I'm still disappointed that I didn't get what I wanted and that she took it upon herself to do what she wanted in my hair. And it was clearly a misunderstanding because I was perfectly willing to pay her the $70 for what I asked for.s"
