"The ladies Fatimah & Delight are awesome!! They are super professional & had my knotless braids done in 4.5 hours just one person. They are friendly, professional & the braids are spot n, flawless! Did I mention the shop is nice & clean? I love them & will be coming back!"
"These people are thieves. I do not recommend giving them your hard earned money but if you decide to go DO NOT USE A CREDIT CARD. I took my daughter to get her hair braided and paid with my credit card. The next day I notice the charge is much different from what they said and the machine said when we slid the card. They are scammers. When we called them to confront them about this she became very aggressive and hung up and said “you blocked”. Ok no problem I texted her from my other phone to let her know I’ll be filing a dispute on the charge with my bank and that I would leave A review to reflect my experience. She then told me she would post photos of my minor daughter everywhere and called me A “B word” and told me to “play with her”. Told me she would damage my daughter and her future and told me to “call the (F word) popo” and said I don’t care is she’s a (F word) minor. The way this woman has cussed at me and handled this situation is gross. I would spend my money elsewhere. Not only is this theft, she’s unprofessional and cusses at customers and threatens to exploit a minor child’s photo. Sick"
"I came in tonget coil twists and the ladies were very nice. Squeezed me in on short notice. Their work is impeccable they were working on two other clients one with fishtail corn rolls and the other with twist. Both girls hair look great. I'll definitely will be returning if I need braids in the future!"
"The braider who worked on my hair was so heavy handed. I made hints to her to ease up on handling me so rough. She just said, "Sorry" and continued as she had been without making any adjustments to her aggressive touch. It was so bad that I could no longer just bear it and suffer in silence, but I made the sounds of pain and even yelled, "Ouch" as my face was wrinkled the entire time in pain. None of my actions or complaints made any difference to her at all. The prices are totally inflated compared to other African braid shops. The style that I, my mother and daughter got should've easily been $50 for each of us. Instead my mother and I were charged $70 each and my daughter was charged $60. So, since they want to try and be slick with spiking the prices, that took care of any tips that would've been given. Tip? Your tip is to always look both ways before crossing the street! If this wasn't enough, the straw that broke the camel's back was THIS one right here!! While doing one of my goddess braids, the braider's bracelet became entangled in my hair. As she worked to loose herself, she pulled my hair out of the braid in the process. So, she just proceeded to finish up braiding the rest of my hair. When she finished braiding I asked her how was she going to fix my hair that had been pulled out of the braid? She replied that she was going to usesome gel to hold it. I explained that the gel would work temporarily, but the issue of loose hair would persist. She disagreed with me and I shared my disagreement with her. One of the other braiders overheard us and began speaking to her in their native language. Apparently, she told her to redo my braid. Well, my braider scoffed ever so loudly, "Oh my God!!!" as she began to take my braid down. Then the weight that REALLY broke the wagon down was the way she bent my head down to redo the braid! It was as though she was try to snap my neck!! I felt as though I was being punished like a little kid for saying something about the loose hair!!! I wasn't being given service for free that I should accept whatever was given to me. I was paying her for her service!! When I pay for a service I need to be satisfied. Clearly, I wasn't satisfied with this braider at all. I won't even mention all the goo gobs of gel she slathered all in my head, ears, neck and forehead. You can see that in the pictures I shared. Well, I hope the extra $50 up charge, poor treatment and nasty attitude was all worth it. She'll never have to worry about seeing me again. Nor will I pay to bring my mother or daughter there again either. It's just hard to find good service these days..."
