Reviews of Ouchless Hair Braiding by Nia Soule Salon®️
"I paid a deposit to schedule an appointment for my daughter and me. The appointment scheduler said that it would take my daughter 3 hours to complete and 3 1/2 hours to complete mines. When I got to the shop, my daughter’s stylist was ready to start her hair on time. I had to wait over an hour to get mines started. My daughter’s hair took 3 1/2 hours and mines took 6 hours. Please make sure your hair is blowed out because they will do it and it hurts. When you go to the shop, you can tell hair care is not a priority and it’s just about braids. However, the hairstylist were very kind and they did a great job."
"Do not get your hair braided here. The braiders do not listen to your wishes, they’re unprofessional AT BEST, charge you the full amount before you can even see if the services they rendered are worth their OUTRAGEOUS prices, and honestly they’re a joke. For more detail, bicep length faux locs were requested and the braider provided BARELY shoulder length. After confronted, she haphazardly tried to attach hair to the ends of the locs. The attached pieces are already falling out and services were given on Saturday. Today is Monday. The ends of some of the locs in the back were burned and the melted hair gets stuck to clothing. The locs are so stiff that they cannot be styled in any way to conceal this horrible work. Do yourselves a favor and skip out on this salon. Opt for people who actually about the work that they’re doing. This was a horrible experience from beginning to end and I don’t wish that for anyone."
"First, I would like to say I have been to this salon several times and yesterday was my first unsatisfactory visit. My first review disappeared from google. Therefore, I am writing another one. As I stated in the first review, everyone is entitled to have a bad day. I decided on a crochet style to cover my undercut. I have had the same style before, so I know how it should look. The stylist starts my braid down and I noticed she’s doing horizontal braids in the front. To me, horizontal braids across the front looks similar to weave tracks and I think it’s tacky.I explained to her that I want my braids go to the back so I can flip my hair from a part on the left or right and to put it up in a bun if I wanted. She then told me the braids will not show when if I put my hair up. The stylist kept complaining about the style I chose. Her complaints were “this style is too time consuming” and she stated that several times. By the way, I’ve had my hair crochet the same way by a different stylist and it only took two hours. It took her four. The client after me came in but she was still doing my hair. She told the client to come back in an hour. An hour later she still wasn’t done with my hair. So when the client came back in, she began to rush getting my hair finished. As a result the right side is fuller than the left side. She attempted to fix it but she was rushing because the next client was waiting. I was exhausted so I left the salon without examining my braids further. When I arrived home, I tried to put my hair in a bun so I could take a nap. Well, when I put my hair up, there were two rows of horizontal braids in the front. I specifically told her that I didn’t want horizontal braids in the front. In my opinion, my hair is uneven and ugly. Like I said before, everyone is entitled to have a bad day but still should listen and understand the wishes of the clients. That one negative experience will not prevent me from going back to the salon but I don’t want her as my stylist again."
"I was a regular customer until my recent last visit. The owner Maria was very rude to me as I tried to explain to her how I wanted my hair. She replied basically saying if I came back to her shop i obviously liked the work! My hair was done horrible! It looks like a homemade hairstyle and my micros are constantly falling out. I am so disappointed and will never use their service again! I could have contacted the shop but I do not trust to as it was the owner that actually did my hair ... it can’t get any better than that!I hope anyone considering to get their hair did take a second thought !!! I also had a 1 pm appointment and I was there until 745-8 pm with two people doing my hair while she stopped and handled business causing me to miss a important meeting. The website clearly states 3.5 -4 hours for the amount of time it takes to do the style. I’m sure the owner will be defensive as a response to this message but right is right and wrong is wrong !!! My hair was done horribly! I spent $200 on my own human braiding hair and $180 for the style! Wasted money! Reply back to the owner: Noted . However I am very particular when it comes to someone re doing my hair especially under these conditions. I told you something was off with your energy when I sat in your chair . And I should have trusted my instinct and took my business elsewhere. Me working out has nothing to do with or is not the reason my hair is unraveling. My hair is unraveling because the knots have came loose on the ends which is why I asked did you not use nail glue. My braids were just not done correct. I have been wearing braids (micros) for many years and never had this issue. If you felt that you wasn't able to accommodate me regardless of the braiding hair texture or my hair texture. You should have said so and I would have taken my business elsewhere. I will count this as a lesson learnt and loss! However I hope that no one else has this experience. Best wishes!!!"
