"I would not recommend or go back! I called and got a quote for a knotless which were reasonable. So I went on a Friday. Long story short I still paid what I would have if I was to have went to who I normally go to(around the corner). I even still tipped. Every time I put my hands through my hair there’s an entire curly strand coming out my braids. I’m pissed! However, she was nice during my service my hair is just not lasting!"
"Whew…where to start. We have been going to this shop since February. Binta is rude and lacks basic customer service etiquette. There have been times that I’ve walked into the shop to get my daughters’ hair braided, and she didn’t even have the decency to stand up, let alone look at me as I’m telling her what I would like to be done. No eye contact, no greetings, and these are consistent behaviors My girls have complained about their constant chastising for various reasons; their hair is thick and healthy, and we take them to my stylist for a wash and detangle an hour before walking into the salon, and braid it to avoid extreme tangling. As a black-owned salon, these stylists should be comfortable with working with their hair type. Instead, the braiders have told them that they should comb their hair more, as if they can help its thickness and natural texture. They pull through their hair, and my girls have complained that it is painful and feels as if they want to rush it I took my girls to get their hair done, not even a week ago, and the braids are thin and flat. The hair is flying away from the roots to the ends, and the ends are fuzzy on simple box braids. This is the worst job they’ve ever done. Icing on the cake is how business is handled. The place always looks dirty and the owner Binta is laying on the couch while customers are there. When giving payment and asking for the information to pay via cashapp, she wouldn’t even look in your direction. In this case they need to QUIT THEIR DAY JOB"
"i got boho braids from two beautiful women and this was the best work i’ve ever seen omggg"
"If I could give this shop no stars I would. I have been getting my hair braided by Africans since I was a little girl and NEVER encountered such a rude disrespectful person like Binta. She literally has no filter and I can tell she don’t care for Americans. She made a comment like “Americans are lazy” all while it’s a bunch of “Americans” in her shopping keeping her place of business open. Soon as I walked into the shop it smelled like pure trash. She has no braiders besides her and one other person. You’ll sit for hours for a hair style that should only take 4-5 hours. She kept stoping on my head to start on another. Just really unprofessional! I would stay away from this place."
"My daughter hair was a good but she was just complaining about everything she was complaining about this pregnant woman hair being short her fingers are bleeding how short it is yeah I will. I feel so sad for her and her daughter because her daughter got a deal with this her shop should get shut down and she was rude never use her extra hair we got home and it was just itching so I check my daughter arms she got a whole rash from the weave"
