Chattahoochee Humane Society

The Chattahoochee Humane Society, located at 3265 Fairfax Bypass in Valley, Alabama, is dedicated to finding loving homes for pets and providing shelter for unwanted or lost animals in Chambers County. Our mission includes preventing overpopulation and animal cruelty, as well as promoting responsible pet ownership through education and financial assistance for spaying/neutering.

Volunteering at our organization can be incredibly rewarding, whether you have just an hour to spare or more. Taking a dog for a walk or spending time socializing with them can greatly improve their chances of being adopted. We are a 501(c)3 organization that relies on monetary donations to fund our spay/neuter program and provide essential care for our animals.

In addition to monetary donations, we also welcome donations of towels, blankets, cleaning supplies, and pet food and treats. By supporting us, you can also help our sponsors gain visibility. Consider purchasing a T-shirt to help raise funds for our new play yard.

Please keep in mind that caring for each animal that comes through our doors costs at least $175, not including daily feeding and care. If you are surrendering a pet, please consider making a donation to support their care. Animals that are spayed/neutered and up to date on vaccinations are more likely to be sent to rescue organizations.
