"I recently saw another review here that gave me the courage to speak up. The owner of this shop was rude to me regarding my size. I was 19 , now (22) and I was trying out an adult Ballet class which I really loved. But this whole experience left my confidence a bit tarnished. When trying on leotards she commented on my size. I am a size large -XL and anyone with eyes can see that. But the owner gave these snarky, passive remarks suck as, “Maybe you should try a 2x or larger.” Her tone was off and I could tell it wasn’t a genuine question to help me feel comfortable in another leotard. She also kept eyeing me all over the store. (I’m a black women as well). Finally, when I left I felt ashamed for not speaking up and defending myself. I tried to look for other reviews of the same but everyone praised this shop and the owner until recently. It’s a real shame because this store was legit and close to drive to. I am trying out barre again and am hesitant to buy here. I’m trying to buy online."
