"This place is aptly named because it's a Carnival for sure. We bought some Nike shoes that turned out to have a sharp wire stick into the ankle, clearly a defect. An employee named Carl said he didn't make the shoe so he can't help us. So much for standing behind what you sell. This employee said no one else will buy them. Go to the Carnival and get a clown."

"It's one of my favorite shoe stores. There's a sweet lady at the counter that's been working here for some time, and she's always nice. I love the Van and Converse selection. My husband likes that they have HEYDUDE. We stop in every couple months to see what they have."

"Shoe Carnival normally has a pretty good selection of shoes for the current season. If it's winter, they normally have a wide variety of boots. If it's summer, they normally have a good selection of sandals. However, I was disappointed yesterday in their selection. With it being the beginning of July, I was expecting to be able to find a lot of sandals that I could choose from. But they had very few. Although they did have quite a bit of sporty sandals such as Teva or Chacos and others in that style, they didn't have hardly any dressy type women's sandals. Very, very few. I was not only surprised but disappointed in their low stock. To me, it seems like Shoe Carnival is starting to focus more on just tennis shoes. It's more like a sports store would have. They hardly had anything other than tennis shoes for men. I was also looking for a pair of leather slip on casual sandals for my husband. They had one style. That style was $59.99. So their prices aren't competitive at all. I ended up going to Academy, where I was able to find a pair of sandals for my husband for $29.99 and myself for $19.99. So I will admit, I will be checking other shoe stores in the future before going to Shoe Carnival. Not to mention that not one single employee spoke to me the entire 40 minutes I was in the store."
