"Family owned store where you can by apples by the peck, fresh pies and other knickknacks. We drove up to Ellijay to see the fall colors and to stop by Mack Aaron’s. Staff is always pleasant and helpful, and the apples are always good! I tried the frozen muscadine slushy, which was really good! My husband bought a few individual pies, but this time they didn’t have have nearly as much filling as they have in the previous 2 years we’ve come. We drive up here for the pretty scenery this time of year, but it can get crowded at certain times! If you want to make a day of it, their neighbors (Reece’s Cider) across the street have a huge orchard with all things fun for kids, you pick, games, and there’s a putt-putt golf right next door."
"Last week I, along with my husband and my sister and her husband, took a day trip from Atlanta to Ellijay for apples. We always go to the same apple house for our apples and apple pies. Unfortunately, the apple house had sold out of pies but it was suggested we stop at Mack Aaron’s for pies. We made a stop there for pies only and purchased several apple pies as well as other flavors-a dozen in all -to share with family and friends. The first pie I ate was apple, and it maybe had a teaspoon of apple filling. I was stunned. My sister shared she had the same experience with the apple pies. While the other pies (peach, blackberry, strawberry-rhubarb) had a bit more filling, none were substantial. The pies maybe had $.50 worth of product yet they charge $3 per pie. To sell a fruit pie that contains almost zero filling, is unconscionable. Shame on Mack Aaron’s!"
"We travel from Tennessee and have been purchasing apples here for years. They have A wide variety of apples as well as other produce. Homemade handmade fried pies. Oh, my! So Yummy! The owners, Bill and Gina, are wonderful people. Ellijay is in the beautiful mountains of Georgia and we always enjoy our trip. Highly recommend!"

"This is one of the smaller Apple houses in the north Georgia area. What's nice about it is it's friendly people the owners on site. The staff takes good care of you ready to answer any questions you have. It's nice that samples that they have at the different apples and the different products they have. It's worth stopping in just to try to apple cider. So fresh so refreshing yes we had to take a couple gallons home with us. Also the fried pies are excellent many different flavors all of them good that I tried. So it's a good visit a good stop we walked away with some apples some cider fried pie and we also scored some Vidalia onions. And today we didn't get one but they had bushels of pumpkins to get ready for Halloween."
