"I’m not the type of person to rate stores and restaurants. However, I will probably never come back to Ellie’s again and wanted to share my experience. Friday I went to Ellie’s to buy an outfit for myself and my mama for a funeral this past Saturday. It was a request that we wear yellow to the funeral. The first thing I would like to add is they hardly have a plus size selection to choose from. I bought two shirts. One large for myself and one 3XL shirt for my mama. Saturday comes and we get ready for the funeral. My mama wears her shirt that she has and Suddenly the side of the shirt starts to unravel at the seam. So now her shirt has a big hole in it. I immediately call Ellie’s and they were apologetic and stated I could get a refund since it was damaged. My mom had to put together a outfit last minute for the funeral. Now, we are at Monday. Early Monday morning, right when they opened, I walked in and stated what happened and asked for a refund since the lady on the phone said she would give me a refund since the shirt was damaged. They stated that they could not give me a refund and they could only provide a store credit or an exchange. I explained to the lady behind the counter that I was told that I could receive a refund. She was very bitter towards me and truly did not give me kind customer service. She gave me store credit for the shirt. While I was looking for something else, the lady behind the counter was on her phone the whole entire time. She didn’t even look up. Whoever was on the floor helped me find my dress and was super nice. While I was ready to checkout, the lady started the steam shirts and she stopped to check me out. Again, she was rude. If I knew she was working, I definitely would have not came in. I would have waited until someone else came to help me. I doubt I will ever go in Ellie’s again. I’m very disappointed."
