Lane Bryant

"I’m a new customer and I will never be back. I came in on 12/3/2023 at about 1:15 p.m. I brought my receipt, a jacket with tags, and the Lane Bryant bag. I came to return a jacket. I had bought it along with a bunch of other stuff in the store. However, this was ordered inside the store due to the store being out of my size. On my receipt, there’s an item number… the amount I paid… How I paid in the store. I even made sure to bring the correct card. I’m very nervous about returns. I make sure to have it all right and ready to go. This cashier (Black, about 300lbs, 5’11, curly hair) was EXTREMELY rude to me. I gave her the stuff. She rudely asks, “Ok. So where is your receipt?”Confused by her tone— I said it’s right in your hand. It’s listed on the top. I began to get anxious. “No, this not your receipt. You got. It. In. A. Box. YOUR RECEIPT is in the box. The box it came in.” I looked at the receipt. I said, “I’m confused. I-“ She said, “Yeah, I know you are.” At this point, the young blonde girl working beside her looked at her as if to say, “OMG.” I grew quiet. Then, she scanned it again and easily did my return. Went right through. After making it seem like she could not do it. I took my receipt and left. She all but screams, “YOU’RE WELCOME” as I walked away. Because… I was in no way going to say “thank you.” So, I wanted you to know she ruined my entire day by this needless act of rudeness. The cashier beside her was appalled—but too young to say anything. There were almost no customers in the store. I’d say you have a problem because of her. I mean… I was super excited to find an awesome store. Now I feel.. IDK. Targeted, I guess? Would it have been different if I were skinny and all dressed up in my name brand clothes? With my nails done? Or was it because I was a different race? I have no idea. This was insane. Lost my business to the store next door. I went to TORRID and spent over $300 due to being sad about the events that occurred today. The cashiers there were so nice to me and said they’d heard similar stories about Lane Bryant."

"The 2 ladies working this evening were of no help. Neither one offered to help or see if I had any questions. Thry were oo concerned about their personal conversations. Lane Bryant has quality products, but the employees need some customer serve skills."

"I absolutely love the product, but the workers at this store are awful. They are never helpful and always stay to themselves. Every time I’m at the location I have to find an employee myself and ask for help. They never offer any help to me when I come in the store. From now on I will go out of my way to a different location or order online."
