"Excellent place!!! I have been to a lot of brazilian restaurants and this is now one of my favorites!! The meat man is super friendly, I was telling him I am doing the carnivore diet and he guided me choosing the beef with more fat and organs. The owner is also super nice and the place is extremely clean. Not sure about all the bad reviews... this is not a Fogo de chao type of restaurant... this is simple self service awesome Brazilian steakhouse. Thank you very much for an enjoyable meal and We will be back!!!"
"Our regular lunch group of five decided to try the newly opened Brazilian Steakhouse in the strip mall that used to house a chicken restaurant. Arriving around 12:30 pm, we were the only customers. I anticipated the traditional Brazilian Steakhouse experience with servers presenting a variety of meats at our table, but this restaurant had a self-service style. With only one waiter serving drinks, we gathered plates from the salad bar and chose different meats from the center table. While the salads were fresh and healthy, the meat in the stew was too chewy, prompting me to leave it unfinished. The meats we ate appeared overcooked, leading us to suspect they were leftovers from the previous day. The individual at the meat section kept cutting outer parts of the meats, which were salty and dry. Unless we specifically requested the meat's doneness, we received only the outer, well-done portions. Most of what we ate was overcooked. One friend rejected the meats offered by the individual to get juicier parts, only to witness him cutting away the outer portions and throwing them away. He then added more salt and continued cooking in the machine. We realized that the salty and dry nature of the meats was due to their being leftover and needing to be recooked. Leftover meats shouldn't be served to the first customers of the day, especially when they are expecting the best experience. While the all-you-can-eat price was reasonable, we also hoped for a top-notch experience in food quality and taste. Unfortunately, the coffee wasn't fresh either. We didn't visit this restaurant for salad or cheese bread, although they were fresh and tasty. We suggest serving fresh meats cooked on the same day to provide the best experience for first-time customers."
"This restaurant is located in the same plaza as Kung Fu Tea and Honey Pig on Pleasant Hill. Not sure if they were having an off day but I came because I saw all of the glowing reviews. If you’ve been to Fogo de Chao or Chama Gaucha, this will be a more casual version. The restaurant seemed clean. We went on a Sunday at around 1PM. There is a small salad and appetizer self serve bar. They don’t come around with the meats and serve it to you. You have to go up to a counter and request which meats you want. So let’s talk about the pros and cons and why I’m giving this place a 1 star. Pros: -Clean restaurant -Free coffee (didn’t try it so I can’t comment on this but it comes with your meal) - The person cutting the meat was very nice Cons: - The meats are very dry, chewy, and tough - Was not offered to choose what temperature I wanted my steaks - Very very salty. It seems like they overly salt the outside of certain meats - The cheese bread are dry, stale, and cold (they don’t bring these to your table. They’re at the appetizer bar) - No one came to refill my water - The dishes were only taken away once - All meats are cut on one tray that you grab from so I would be careful if you have any dietary restrictions. They don’t offer as many cuts of meats like other Brazilian Steakhouses which is fine but I expect the smaller selection to be good quality. I paid $28.50 per person for lunch. I might as well paid a little extra and go down to Fogo de Chao. You are able to take things to go for around $12 a pound for lunch which I personally think is quite expensive for the quality you’re getting. The salad/appetizer bar is okay. Nothing spectacular or memorable. I can’t recommend this place."
"The food was really good and not over priced. Beef ribs and garlic top sirloin was my favorite. Good service and tender meat. Even my picky 6 year old loved the food!"
