"I was so pleased with the service we received at Gold Street husband and I broke down across the river in Kentucky. Our insurance allowed a tow from our location to across the bridge to Gold Street Muffler. It was after closing time so we called first thing in the morning. We thought it was our transmission. He asked to take a look at it so we allowed him. He called us back not long after and said the axle had broke and if we wanted it fixed. We said of course. We thought we were gonna need a new car. Called us back about 2 hours later and said it was good to go. The price was fair and they were honest. Told me about things that needed fixed (the other axle). We are grateful to them for not taking advantage of a bad situation. We will definitely return to them to have the other side done as well as other work.. Even if we live 45 minutes away. Great shop. Highly recommend them. I have already told people about this place. I used to (and still do) tell people where NOT to go, but now I can tell them I know a good place."

"I absolutely DO NOT recommend Gold Street Muffler in Ironton, OH. I dropped off my car Wednesday December 6th and picked it up a week later. They were fixing my heat and a few leaks along with bolts missing from my front grill. They told me they needed to put a new piece in the front. This is how I picked it up, I’ve tried calling and I’ve been told I’m lying and it was like that when i dropped it off…. If it was an old problem it would be rusted where the paint is chipped, not fresh. I’m young and a female but I’m not clueless when it comes to my car that I’ve worked my butt off for. I was hesitant but after how they spoke to me today it needs to be put out there. They will not fix it, I am at a total loss on what to do."
