Reviews of Ohagwu Christian MD
"Although I am not a patient of Dr. Ohagwu, I did a working interview for two days. He was VERY disrespectful to one of his other employees. After witnessing this, I KINDLY declined employment with his practice. Which after I declined, he became very rude and nasty with me as well. He is not professional at all, and for the patients sake, I WOULD NEVER EVER RECOMMEND THIS PRACTICE FROM THIS RUDE DOCTOR. If I could give him and his practice a zero or anything in the negative value I would!!!!!"
"This doctor is very unprofessional and disrespectful! After our mom suffered a severe stroke and began her recovery at home, we were informed by Grady Hospital that she needed to follow up with her primary provider for her pain. Yes, Grady discharged her without prescribing any pain medication although they knew she would most likely experience these severe nerve and muscle spasms. Fast forward a month after she was discharged and we still had not heard from this doctor if he had received access to her medical record during her stay at Grady. However, he did take care of the order for home healthcare so we were grateful and never doubted that he would put our mother’s needs first. We were wrong! Things quickly took a turn for the worst after the home healthcare got involved when we were unsuccessfully able to get in touch with him. When we were finally able to reach him, he went on and on about an altercation he had with the nurse aide. He insisted that we told the nurse aide that he was not assisting us. We repeatedly told him there must be some type of misunderstanding and we apologized for any mix up but we really just wanted to focus on our mother’s needs. This really angered him and he went on to belittle us and tell us how he was in medical school while we were in diapers. He also argued that his feelings matter and how he didn’t need the money bc he does it for the patients. He concluded that we can find another primary. When we tried to calm him down and get him to focus on our mother’s care, he refused and continued to talk about his credentials. I’ve NEVER in my life seen a doctor act in this manner. We expressed our regrets with the situation and told him that it was unfortunate our mom would be the one to suffer from this. He did not care that he was forcing us to find another primary when she desperately needs relief from her pain. Do not go to this guy, he does not care about his patients. Any doctor that thinks it’s okay to respond to a patient or a patient’s family in this manner, is incapable of placing the patient’s needs first. He has no professionalism nor does he take his ethical duties and obligations serious. We are actually contemplating on filing a formal complaint through the Georgia Composite Medical Board. No human being should have to endure this type of pain longer than they have to bc a doctor is in his/her feelings about something so meaningless."
"Horrible!! I'm the caregiver for my mom. The nurse (Abigail) from Medline Home Health services miscommunicated some information to Dr. Christian regarding my mother needs (medical records request). The nurse tells Dr. Christian I said he was giving my family the run-around. Instead of him handling the miscommunication professionally I was yelled at and talked to rudely. My mother never received what she needed and we are finding a new primary care physician. I've never in my life experienced anything like this before!! How does a doctor allow a nurse in trainig to tell him some he say/she say, run with it, and not want to work with the patient any more. SMDH!!!"
"I applied for the Front Desk position @ Premiere Primary Care Center on Old National Highway in College Park, GA I was invited to do a "paid working interview" on 1/10/19 in which that went well and the doctor asked me if I could come back the next day. I accepted and the next day I came in, and also I gave him my references as requested the day before. He stated he didn't have time to check my references, but will do during the weekend. I received a call from the doctor on Saturday offering me the position. But before he offered me the position we talked about what my responsibilities would be. He asked me questions and I answered them. He told me that he wouldn't be able to offer me what I usually make due to his finances. I told him that his finances wasn't any of my business. The only thing that I care about is getting paid for the work I'm doing. He offered me a couple of dollars above minimum wage, but I needed a job. Monday came and he asked me to remind him for my paperwork for new employees. Every thing was going good; I was always on time since I started my working interview, working hard and staying busy. Until Tuesday after came....I was in his office and he was talking to me and I gave him full eye contact and responded to his requests. Then the conversation was over and I continued my work and walked out of his office. 2 minutes later he called me back into his office and he had a smile/smirk on his face. He asked me do you normally turn your back on ppl when they are talking to you? I said no, I said I thought you were done talking because you didn't say anything else. I was literally surprised by this. The next day came and I was working as usual. So I was checking in a patient and my coworker was in the room with a patient. All of sudden the doctor said I told you to remind me of your new employee so you could sign. Then he said it doesn't matter anyway because you're not a good fit here....then he repeated himself and said I don't like drama. I said ok, I got up and told my coworker I was leaving. She sorta looked shocked but I wasn't buying it. It's like maybe 11:00 ish, I grabbed my coffee cup, coat and purse to leave. The doctor looked at me and said are you leaving and I said yes. He said left write you a check because I don't want to see your face anymore. I went to the lobby and waited for my check. He gave it to the employee to give to me, and she said he wanted me to stick around to talk to me about it at the end of the day. I said okay whatever!!!! I've only shared this one incident, but since I got here the doctor was so rude, argumentative, disrespectful. I've over heard him raising his voice and talking down to patients in the examination rooms. I heard the patient apologizing and he was still fussing her out. I've never seen or heard a doctor talk like this before to any patient in my whole entire career. I'm sure it does happen, but to be a witness is shocking. Since I got there the employee said we're not allowed to eat food there, talk to each other. I know that this employee have had to tell the doctor some lies about me. I'm not going to out this employee she knows all the "BS" she's doing. He wonders why he not making any money. I came across 70% of his patients since I been there and they want to leave. If you're a patient and is ever treated like this by your provider you can call your insurance company and file a grievance. No weapon formed against me shall prosper."
"My kids been going to this Doctor send they were baby and now they are 7, 13, and 15. He always was good with kids and giving them good treatment. He good with his customers but don't like if his staff have a problem with his customers. He will address the situation and my kids like him alot."
