"It was our first time going and I would have to say it wasn't what it use to be for sure.. Catfish House has always been known for amazing food. I use to go all the time growing up an before they closed!!! I wasn't impressed by it. The staff was very friendly the place was beautiful an very clean even had A solo singer playing guitar! But we were not happy with food! First! some of us order samething and 1 plate had 4 piece catfish pieces an 1 had 5 pieces an I had 3 and 1 had 6 an all were The Catfish plate for $20.99!!!.. Ask waitress about it and she said she go an get more cause the plate I had only had 3 very small pieces and I'm talking so small it was mainly crust! and I'm paying $20.99 for it.. well I ate and fish was so salty we couldn't eat it everyone at table. Waitress came back after we were all done and said oh my I forgot to get ur fish I just said I'm good fish was to salty. Then she handed me my bill $45 for a 7.99 kid meal 3 small catfish plate for 20.99 so salty couldn't eat it an 1 tea i was like wow!! I dont mind paying money for good food make it worth it!! But that was our experience at The New Catfish House!!!"

"Last time we were here everything was great. We were told new owners in the last year. Catfish was disappointing; filets were about 1” wide and 4” long, dry, cold and had little taste. Baked potatoes were good. Collard greens were soggy and over salted. Hush puppies were ok. Everything we asked the waitress for, the answer seemed to be prefaced with “we don’t…”. This is sad as we looked forward to our meal here each time we camp at Reed BinghamState Park next door."

"This was my first visit, I arrived about 45 mins to closing time and ordered the half order of Catfish filets. I was served with sweet pickles before my new came and let me tell ya they were out of this world good. The catfish was just what I was looking for, crispy crunchy and exploding with flavor. Now the home made coleslaw was just like grandma makes and to top it off I added cheese grits my favorite side item ever!!"

"First let me say that the staff was excellent even though they were packed (I got there during rush hour). The amount of food I got for the price was worth it. Cheese grits we're the best I ever had. Will definitely be making a trip back here."
