Reviews of Bright Stars Primary Learning Academy, LLC
"I enrolled my son here and the walkthrough process was exceptional. Everyone put on their happy faces to get you to join. That changed pretty quickly. After a week or so the teachers would call me around 6pm and inform me that my 1 year old son was the only child still at the facility and ask were we in route to pick him up (the daycare closes at 7pm) this of course made me very uneasy because I'm an entrepreneur and some days I would need the extra time to run errands. To put the icing on the cake, my son contracted the hand, foot and mouth disease and had to stay home to get well. A week passed and I did not recieve a single call from the daycare to check on the wellbeing of my child.... 3 weeks later I called to inform them I would come by and pick up his belongings and they then acted so concerned and stated they were just about to call me ... 3 weeks later. Yea right! Overall advice: As much hope I had in this facility especially with it being black owned, they failed our family. ... I would look elsewhere!"
"I love Bright Stars! All three of my daughters have attended the facility and of course there have been some issues over the years but nothing out of the ordinary for child care (kids hit, kids have different home experiences, kids copy their peers’ behavior). They have always been open and receptive to communicating with me, keeping me in the know, and even offering me assistance when my daughter acted out. The staff handles the pressure of multiple children excellently (bc this is not a field for the weak). Ms. Rhonda uses her resources very well and Ms. Jasmin assists HOWEVER she can. I don’t often trust people with my kids BUT I TRUST THIS FACILITY. When people don’t last as employees it’s because they didn’t belong. Trust it!"
"Excellent staff, excellent customer service and excellent security measures. When I spoke with a representative over the phone She was so nice and very helpful with providing me information. The director and the staff are very professional and at the same time showing the upmost respect for not only my child but the others as well. The food is prepared in a manner where you feel comfortable for your child to eat. I feel that they deserve more than 5 stars"
"Worst Center I have ever been to in my life. When you go in it looks like its an awesome place for your children to be. I took my daughter there because it was close to her school. So glad I didn't take my son as well. I told the assistant director that one of the teachers was hitting on the kids and literally a week later my daughter was dismissed from the center. Some of the teachers, not all don't watch the kids and get validation from the children to find out what really happens to the kids when they hurt them selves. Not going off what I heard. What I saw. The assistant director printed a 0.00 balance sheet with nothing on it for me to submit with my w-2. They want to talk to the kids about a high standard of character but do not carry it themselves. When I wanted to talk to the director she was not even professional enough to meet with me, but the moment my child did something she wanted to talk about her future. Would not recommend to no one."
"This is not the place you want your child to go. The teacher's are very aggressive when they think no one is listening. Children take naps head on the table no blanket. The big Kids and infants share one big room. I caught one of the adults yelling at one of the younger children. The owner lied to me the first time I met her. One day she got into a verbal disagreement with me.. in front of my child with foul language.(I have video record for proof) I paid for numerous fields trips that never existed, she gave me my money back. Other parents warned me about this place, and how the owner is rude and money hungry. This woman is also being investigated by the state because on many occasions when she is over charging parents for the services."
