"My experience with Affiliated Physchogical has been highly unprofessional. Despite claiming to have a background working with disabled youth and adults, they showed to be ill-equipped to accommodate my autistic child by not permitting an AAC device to be used for nonverbal communication during Disability Adjudication Services. My child is also at higher risk of viral complications due to autoimmune conditions, and they and their brochure informed us that staff also would be masking. This would not be the case in person. Their discriminatory approach is both appalling and disgusting. Accommodations were addressed both in the weeks prior and a day before the set appointment through phone, which staff presented as inconveniencing and behaved condescendingly. Linda Weigel conceded accommodations would be met on the call, only to grossly go back on her statements the day of. Dr. David Bailey and Linda Weigel refused to see my disabled child due to failing to meet reasonable accommodations. Dr. Bailey proclaimed that he had never heard of communications devices in all his practice (despite being a widespread tool) and that allowing such accommodations would be too time-consuming. I took a day off work without pay to come to their office, and our time was not considered or valued. Ultimately, we left short of any assistance and wasted our time. Staff revealed themselves to be dismissive, ignorant, and uncompassionate. We will not be visiting again."
