"A friend of mine who took her 10 month olddaughter to get shots when Erin Cook found out the baby was on milk instead of formula she reported her to DCFS because the baby was on milk. When I told this to a friend of mine who is a DCFS social worker, she told me that when she took her niece that she has custody of to Dr. Whipple that she got reported to DCFS because her niece had Sickle cell anemia. The NAACP has been contacted to investigate because all these children are black. Dr Whipple is closing his practice on June 28 . And the Erin Cook the nurse practitioner will probably move to a different pediatric office. Everyone should make sure they don't choose the pediatric office that she will go to work for. Make sure you ask if she works there before choosing your new pediatrician."
"Dr. Whipple is wonderful! He has been treating our daughter since we returned home with her from China in 2006. He and his staff have always been extremely helpful, reasonable, approachable, and easy to schedule with."
"My son has went to Dr.Whipple since birth. He is now 8. I was told at age 3 by pre-school my son had autism because of speech and eye contact. Dr. Whipple disagreed. Reassured me boys talk later and give it time. He did not recommend medicine. I am so grateful because my son is a normal very smart 8 year old and with time everything went away. He is not quick to medicate and I like that. There was a short time of staff issues but for the most part nice and I get appointments quickly."
"So hard to get in touch with them for an appointment and I asked him to screen my son for autism. He seems to think he's fine but he has too many red flags for autism! He takes nothing serious with people's kids even when they're sick!"
"Idk what has taken me so long to change pediatricians but I’ve never been impressed with him. He acts as though everything is not a big deal and doesn’t really seem to care about his patients. My son is 10, months old and has gone to him since he was born and I guruantee you he doesn’t remember my son from his last visit a month ago. I will definitely be switching pediatricians."
