"TERRIBLE, DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY OR YOUR TIME I would like to start by saying our initial appointment was $285 (I am self pay) and virtual. I understand virtual may work for some but she does not offer any in person meetings, however it took 19 emails between her “secretary” and myself before I finally established it was only virtual meetings. I personally feel that a head doctor should meet you in person in order to get a full feel for your energy and accurate diagnosis. I would also like to add that she billed my card 24 hrs before the meeting (I understand this) and she was absolutely late to our first appointment. I had to call her, then she called me back before we ever got started on Skype. 15 min into my appointment we finally made camera contact but she never centered her screen or showed her whole face. She looked at my paperwork for the first time during our 1 hr appointment (45 min with the start being delayed) and disregarded 90% of what I said. I told her I had taken Lexapro in the past and it made me nauseous; so she prescribed me Lexapro telling me it was probably the Wellbutrin that made me nauseous. The disregard for my words sent me into an anxiety attack but I tried to maintain. She continued to tell me that perhaps if I exercise and eat right I will feel better because “if you look good, you feel good” anyone who struggles with clinical depression and general anxiety disorder knows that you can look great and feel like garbage. The appointment continued with her saying things that I have never heard a doctor say to someone struggling with mental illness. She is also a therapist, however her therapy sessions at $205 and she wants to see me once a week. Again I am self pay and I cannot afford to be paying that every week. So we agreed to give it two weeks (she scheduled me 9 days between appointments) and we would discuss my progress with the Lexapro. Before the second meeting took place I received no appointment reminder of any kind, however 24 hrs before my appointment without fail the money was taken from my account. I live paycheck to paycheck and the reminder that I had the appointment and the money was coming out would have be extremely helpful. My memory is trash and I told the “doctor” this and again she disregarded my words. The day of my second appointment I was already on edge over the money situation and lack of communication skills as well as struggling with PMDD and nausea from the Lexapro. She was 10 min late to our appointment and when I told her the Lexapro was making me nausea she went off on a tangent about eating oatmeal before I take it to line my stomach. Why she wouldn’t change the medication is beyond me. When I asked why I didn’t receive an appointment reminder she said “my secretary called” (this was a bold faced lie and sent me into a minor rage) and continued with “it’s a courtesy to call anyways” that was when I realized I was being ripped off. She had no intent on treating me with the proper medications she was simply going to take my money and ask me “how I am feeling” because I need to talk about my trauma. That part isn’t wrong I’m sure I do need to work through some things, however I need a doctor who listens and understands that sometimes medication is the jumpstart to getting your brain in order enough to work through trauma. And spending $450 in two weeks increased my stress level and I was not getting the proper treatment. To top it all off she was extremely judgmental about my past life choices and even told me that I had an addictive gene and I was at risk of relapse. I got clean by sheer will, no rehab, no treatment just chose to stop. So yes I got offended when she started talking to me like I was an active addict. That second appointment ended and I have been watching my bank account to be sure she doesn’t take any more money from me. She isn’t working to make ppl better she is working to pad her own pockets."
