"Mrs. Morton charged our family about $165.00 and hour I believe. My children where on Peachcare and she didn't accept insurance and they called her office several times for copies of invoices to possibly give us reimbursement for services but they could never get a hold to anyone in the office and no return calls made back. I feel that she lacks social skills of do as I say and not say as I do. I believe that she choices sides and never has the whole story. I've never seen her take notes but I don't know what she did when we left but she can cancel and reschedule a lot and I dont feel that her practice was her primary focus. I don't feel that she is trying to help or resolve anything and when I mentioned getting another therapist involved that did not take well with her. I feel that she did a lot of things that were unprofessional and I have been thinking about filing a report with the secretary of state's office. She cares more about politics and bashing our President then focusing on the people in her office. I feel like she talks out of both sides of her mouth and she tells you what you want to hear. She doesn't practice what she preaches and I feel that she is just taking peoples money. Her character came in question when I learned about some criminal history she had in her life through a previous counseling place she practiced at and that made me loss all respect for her. No wonder.....I can only hope that one day someone will put her out of business because she is far from a person who cares about anything other than her pocketbook. Her counseling is not private because I understand that she discussed my family with not only her husband but mutual friends that told me the same and that does violate Hipaa. There is no wonder she has to share office space with her husband because she really does seem that controling."

"The people posting negative reviews are angry and giving false information. Amy Morton has been one of the community's most professional therapists for over 20 years. She stopped accepting insurance two years ago, and this may make her seem inaccessible to some, but she is worth it. Her prices are NOT $200 - they are $135 for initial consultation, less for subsequent visits. Also, she does NOT accept Medicaid patients, despite what another reviewer was saying. She costs more because she's worth more - it's as simple as that. If you cannot do self pay, DON'T GO TO HER. You will not find someone better able to fairly mediate couple's counselling."
