"My mother in law is a resident at Harborview. She seems to like it pretty well. She likes the staff , patients, food and the fact that she is helped , if she needs it . She is an amputee and wasn't going to stay but temporarily. Her first night back home ,she got sick and ended up wanting to return to Harborview. It's a long drive to visit her but worth it. And the staff is very empathetic and understanding."

"I'm not sure about these negative reviews...most of them are old to very old. I understand they have gone through ownership change. All I can share is my current experience with Harborview. The staff has been extremely helpful and kind. My wife is in the rehab from complications from a stroke. The nursing staff is wonderful, very compassionate and helpful. The administration is amazing... very helpful and caring - I did not expect this from my experiences at another facility in another town. The only reason I did not give them 5 stars is occas. the communication between nursing/doctor etc. can be slow and difficult - but I don't expect perfection and they will work with you to make things right. These people treat you like family! It's wonderful having a good facility in our own town- good work Harborview! May your present and future be bright and cheerful!"

"PLEASE, for the love of God, do not bring your family members here. If you love them you will reconsider and find somewhere else to go. My aunt has been at this facility for 3 weeks now and has yet to receive a bath. I asked her what she had for dinner the other day and she said she hasn’t eaten in 3 days. She said someone brought food into the room but left it on the dresser where she couldn’t get to it. She has multiple sclerosis and can not get out of bed without someone helping her. When I came to visit her for the “window visit”, the odor outside of the facility was absolutely unbearable. The stench coming from inside the building carried a strong odor of feces and urine. During our “window visit”, we were told that we’d be able to talk to my aunt through our cell phones to the facility’s house phone, however, no one could apparently find this “house phone.” So we had to stand outside the facility and yell at the top of our lungs and my aunt is already hard of hearing. Also, when we got to the window, we saw that my aunt has apparently been placed on oxygen during her stay and no one from the facility bothered to call and let us know. Upon my aunt’s arrival, we provided the facility with several of her personal items from home to help her transition more smoothly and make her stay a little more pleasant. However, every time we have visited, she seems to be wearing the same dingy looking urine-stained hospital gown and none of those personal items (clothes, jewelry, etc.) are anywhere to be seen. My aunt says she doesn’t know what they did with her stuff. She says that the workers leave her in her bed all day long. They never come to let her get any exercise or take her to the bathroom. They put her in a diaper that is probably about 14 sizes too big, so she lays in the bed and defecates and urinates all over herself all day long and sometimes goes a whole day without anyone coming to change her. These people all need to be arrested immediately. There is extreme negligence happening here and no one seems to care. Please consider another option!!!"
