"Amazing Instructors"
"Shalay is an amazing Instructor and an Amazing Owner. She has been dancing for 25 years and training kids of all ages, nationalities, and backgrounds for 10 years. She treats each child differently and responds based off the child’s learning abilities, knowledge of the form of dance, and abilities to keep up or learn new things ! There is not a NEGATIVE comment I could make about this studio. It is a great and safe space for children of ALL ages as well as Adults of all ages. I would suggest any and everyone looking to learn a new art form or build on top of what they already know to come visit Infinite Dance Theater you won’t regret it ! Keep up the hard work Shalay!! You are doing an AMAZING JOB negative feedback is POSITIVE FEEDBACK!!! You are ONLY going up from here and with God and POSITIVE people in your life there is no way you are going backwards !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
"The instructor for the toddler class, age 2-3, does not have the maturity and compassion to deal with all toddlers. It seems as though she expects all children to follow directions all the time. I brought my 2 year old here and this was her first time being in any classroom/dance setting. She wouldn’t sit in the circle but she did sit closer to the mirror. She followed along once the instructor got started with the warm up. My daughter didnt want to jump over blocks. The instructor claimed she tried to work with my daughter but I just saw her telling her to move out the way so the next child can jump over the blocks. It’s like the instructor didn’t want to be bothered anymore. Once the music started playing, my daughter did follow along with the dance moves nicely. The instructor didn’t say “good job” or “you can do it” or anything. My daughter was running after another girl and she fell on her butt. The instructor says “see that’s why you can’t run around” how about “are you ok? Be careful the floor is slippery, you can’t run in here” she 2 for crying out loud! Yes you may need to repeat yourself a few times. That is expected. I think the instructor should take a course in child psychology. Not all students are just going to sit around and she has to be equipped with strategies to deal with that, not just lose patience and act like she can’t be bothered anymore. She was much more welcoming to another new student who was just sitting around not doing anything at first and gave her positive feedback. But with my daughter she didn’t highlight the good she did (because she loves to dance) or say she did a good job, she just said she “doesn’t follow instructions” she’s 2 and this is her first class!!! I could see the frustration on her face, and she became passive aggressive and phony when talking to my daughter. Right now she doesn’t have what it takes to deal with toddlers and I wouldn’t recommend this class to anyone. That’s too bad because I have 3 other girls I wanted to take here."
"This studio offers great technique in various genres of dance for a low price. The director is really sweet and fun to work with. It's small but one of the best in the area."
