"Unfortunately google requires at least one star. The doctor has no sense of punctuality and is constantly late to appointments. I suggest monitoring your bank accounts because the staff has the tendency to charge for appointments which never occur, so make sure you’re prepared for the time it takes to call the office to get your transactions reversed. I feel completely used from a financial standpoint as a result of working with this practice. I’d like to provide more insight into how working with these people has affected me financially but this might actually benefit their practice."
"I as a relative to a patient called their office for a simple request. I was not asking for any info from a medical record or anything. I just said “Hi, I am calling about one of Dr. Vaughn’s patients in regards…” what doctor had ordered for admission to a place. The front desk lady started shouting mentioning don’t scream at me!!!! You are not allowed to discuss anything about the patient we can’t do anything…. I was like I haven’t even said why I called. I told her that she’s the one screaming and shouting and I told her that she needs to let me talk before acting like this. When she finally closed her mouth, I explained what I needed and she said what needs to be done however I don’t trust a word coming out of her mouth. She is very unprofessional and rude. She needs to use her resources in that office to resolve her issues. I have never been shouted at in any other places and especially as soon as someone pick up the phone. This is a psychiatrist office, please hire a calm and professional person. She either suffers from a mental illness or she was raised very bad. Please consider all these reviews. I realized I am not the only one who experienced it. I wish I could give ZERO star."
"I have been VERY happy with Dr. Vaughn and his staff. Dr. Vaughn listens carefully and seems to have a genuine interest in my well being. I find the staff to be very considerate and helpful, as well. I think what I appreciate the most is Dr. Vaughn's sensitivity to my wanting to wean off one of my medications. I wanted to stop taking the med, but had a HORRIBLE experience years ago when doing so. Dr. Vaughn allowed me to taper off at a pace that he and I agreed upon. This made the taper SOOO much easier and I felt that I had some control in the matter. I moved out of the Atlanta metro area, but will still make the drive 4 hour to see him because he's WORTH IT!"
"I'm sorry, but I have to change my rating. Dr. Vaughn is super friendly and I have been loyal to him and his office for over 3 years. Until now!! I don't know who they've hired for their front desk, but she is extremely rude and unprofessional. I've never been so disrespected from a doctor's office in my life. She is the reason I will be moving to a different location. I refuse to drive an hour and be treated they way she treated me. I'm sorry Dr. Vaughn. Previous Comment: I have to disagree with the previous two comments. I’ve been seeing Dr. Vaughn for over 3 years —traveling an hour each time—and I have NEVER had any issues with their staff changes. Their staff is ALWAYS super friendly and although there has been a learning curve, they all have gone above and beyond to complete tasks that are requested of them as well as making me and others feel Welcome. Dr. Vaughn has helped me tremendously through some troubling times. I could not ask for a better Doctor or Doctor’s Office!!!"
"Was 10 mins late to my first appointment as a new patient; I called to let the office know that I was there I just went to the wrong building (by the way the photo featured on google is not the correct building). When I spoke to the staff member she told me Dr. Vaughn had an emergency and wasn’t able to see me. No one called me to let me know, after I waited 3-weeks and then drove 30 minutes to my appointment. The staff member told me I could wait 40 mins (which I couldn’t in the middle of a workday) and then said she could reschedule me for a week later - effectively making it 1-month without treatment that I need. I was understandably frustrated so the female Dr. Vaughn picked up the phone to basically say that I was 10 mins late any way when I should have been 30 mins early. She argued with me about this for a few minutes before raising her voice to ask if I wanted to reschedule because she "wasn’t going to waste 10 more minutes arguing with me." If this is the sensitivity they handle their already vulnerable clients with then, no - I do not want to reschedule. I would expect mental health professionals to handle reasonably (or unreasonably, for that matter) upset patients delicately and professionally; that was not the treatment I received. Go somewhere else — this extra stress is the last thing you need."
