Reviews of Key Autism Services
"When you have to provide yourself with a method of coping, due to your child having a disability that people like the ones in this company are supposed to help with and they tell you they don't want to work with your child as a result that is called discrimination. Don't use this company! If you need help finding a therapist for your child I can help you find appropriate, empathetic, knowledgeable therapist. The one they sent to me knew nothing, she was being trained now I understand the method but it did not work for my child with this company butterfly effects is a better company to try. I have two children on the spectrum so I know good quality therapy and they don't have the ability to provide good services"
"Before you sign up with Key, do your homework. They have an "F" with the Better Business Bureau. They don't respond to any customers complaints or have any customer service abilities for that matter. I have reached out to the COO and the co-owner only to be ignored. My daughter was the one who paid for their lack of professionalism and ability to actually do ABA. Please don' t make my mistake. We are the voice for our children, they depend on us to make the right decisions. I let my daughter down. Don't make my mistake. Sadly we trust companies to help us with our children, which is why we hire them. The end result for us was our child had more problem behaviors than she started out with. They don't have the training for their therapists and the BCBAs are not able to effectively help RBTs do their job. In the year we were with the company, we had several BCBAs and now directors. They have no communication and cancel sessions with only a few hours notice. Now we are the ones to blame for their inability to do their jobs. I would seriously caution anyone that wanted to try this company to stay away. We have had a lot of licensed BCBAs from other companies observe their practices and admit that they made our situation worse than where we started. We didn't learn - don't make our mistake. I hope this saves someone from putting their child what we did. DO BETTER KEY!"
"Delayed in calling back. By the time they did start to register my child the insurance laws changed. They didn't attempt to assist me with getting qualified or any direction on how to get what they needed. Katie can be less than customer service friendly at times."
"The WORST company ever!! FIND ANOTHER COMPANY THAT SINCERELY DESIRES TO HELP AUTISTIC CHILDREN!!! They basically took my insurance money and never even had a session with my kid. We did an intake assessment over in person 9/21 ( charged me twice for this visit) and another assessment over the phone 2/22. Why would you do an assessment when you haven't even worked with my kid!! They lured me with information saying it was protocol. I guess I was the fool! Now they expect me to pay a copay! Get gone Key Autism!! Your business was"
"I had the worst experience with this center. Not only I had to change my RBT twice but the second time around the BCBA and RBT had a feud that made it impossible for them to work with my child. She was unprofessional and rude. She told my RBT to leave, basically firing her without speaking to me. So when I called her to see what was going on she told me my child will never get better and he was to severe and that I was basically wasting my time. I reported this to the center and they did listening to me but I never got any type of resolution nor did they follow up with me. This center is so bad it got flagged by Medicaid through the babies can’t wait program because I wasn’t the only one complaining. The first RBT I got wasn’t as seasoned but she was sweet, just too young and unprofessional and inexperienced. The second RBT had all the qualifications I wanted and was very experienced and my son loved working with her but she couldn’t work with the BCBA."
