"Alison has been incredibly valuable to me. She has listened to me and has kept our conversations feeling more like two friends talking instead of feeling like “therapy.” I’ve found myself opening up and discussing things that I’ve been trying to deal with for decades and she has helped me break my issues into bite sized bits. I’m incredibly happy that I’ve been able to see her."
"I’ve been seeing Alison for three years. She has been an emotional rock in my journey to better myself. Alison listens with compassion and is easy to open up to. When I first started seeing her, I was in crisis. She’s since helped me identify the patterns in my self talk that aren’t constructive. It’s wonderful to talk to her every week to maintain a healthy mental balance. I highly recommend"
"I’m also posting this for my friend so they may protect their identity and remain anonymous. Alison would often curse at me in meetings and overall seemed very unprofessional. She refused to diagnose me, and blamed all of my mental health on my menstrual cycle and hormones, however within a few months of seeing my new therapist I was able to get diagnosed. Alison often minimized and dismissed past traumas and issues when they were brought up. Often when we were on virtual meetings (which were phone calls). She would be out doing other tasks such as eating, driving, or shopping in a store, which seemed very unprofessional and a violation of HIPAA privacy laws. Often mentioned speaking to other people about me, and would make comments about previous clients to me. Yet another violation of HIPAA and personal privacy. She overall seemed unequipped to work with adolescents, and people struggling from depression, anxiety, and other mental health disorders. I now have a new, more professional, therapist who meets my needs and I am able to consult with. I just feel as though my time was wasted and my mental health became worse after every meeting with Alison and if I had felt comfortable ending my time seeing her I would have been able to receive the help I needed sooner. Going to her caused severe harm to my mental health and made me feel uncomfortable and more depressed after every session and I would become overwhelmed with anxiety nearly every time before the session. I do not recommend seeing her for your mental health needs if you would like to experience; confidentiality, respect, and a professional and trusting environment. I urge you to listen to the other negative reviews and do not seek therapy with her in order to protect yourself and mental wellbeing."
"Alison is a 5 star therapist. Ms. Williams is way off base. In my experience, she went out of her way to make sure I understood my insurance and worked with me on payment options. She is not condescending at all. She is knowledgeable, intuitive, smart and insightful. Her office is warm and welcoming. I know for a fact that she has live plants there. She is very covid aware, vaccinated and boosted. Clients are welcome to wear or not wear a mask at their comfort level. I am happy, at peace and love myself, all due to therapy with Alison. I really needed help at the start. can honestly say I owe my life to her."
"Beware. She has a condescending vibe... so strong that sharing my issues with her would've caused more harm than good. Seriously, severe harm. Something just wasn't right, and I left with anxiety that I didn't bring to the session. She wasn't honest about confirming my deductible with the insurance company and overcharged. Said she'd reimburse me next time or apply to future visits. (Ummmm. No. Not returning.) She doesn't wear a mask, that's her prerogative - it got uncomfortable when she tried to encourage me not to wear one. Also, her "Covid Agreement Form" states her office has, "Several indoor plants that help to purify air and reduce harmful particulates in the air" - all of the plants are ARTIFICIAL. I didn't know plants, especially artificial plants killed Covid-19. Maybe I'll make a batch of facemasks using artificial plant leaves??? Needless to say, she did not come off as trustworthy, and wasted so much time rambling about nothing. Seek help elsewhere, her Google rating is low for a reason."
