"Edit 2/16/24: Yesterday, the fifteenth was the completion of my third year without drugs or alcohol. If you want to get sober, you can come here and they will give you every tool you need to achieve it. I think its important to keep editing this as time goes on; if nothing else to show that rehabilitation is not just a pause in use, but can provide a life long solution. If you are willing to do the work, you can take your life back. I PROMISE you that ;) Also, a lot of us need to continue intensive treatment even after we are discharged and there is absolutely nothing wrong or shameful about that. There are different options for different needs, and you don't have to take it as a slight from your counselor. I wanted to edit my review, but I am not sure if this does or just posts another entirely. Either way, it has been 7 months since I wrote that review and I am still sober and active in AA; I just passed 18 months a week or so ago. It is tough to put into words how positive and life changing this facility was for me in a very desperate time. If any of the staff recognizes the name, I think you'll all be shocked to know I chair a meeting every Wednesday, it is always one of the best parts of my week. Initially, I was very VERY skeptical of any kind of 12 step program, but it combined with the individual sessions and fellowship I experienced here allowed me to live a life I truly did not believe was possible. I have every single thing that was promised to me and then some. I wanted to take the time to point out a few things that were exemplary about my session there that I didn't post in the first place. First, when I was a client there I was very heavy and used an inhaler, it was the relatively early days of COVID and at the time I believed myself to be high risk. I had a concern about my sleeping situation because of this and it was addressed immediately and fully. Secondly, a staff member and I had a disagreement and it was also addressed timely and fully. My point being that the people here truly understand the difficulty of early sobriety. They worked hard to not only address my addiction, but my trauma and anger as well. I am thankful for it too, because now I continue to address my trauma and anger, as well as my addiction with a therapist. I am not sure if I would be in the same situation if not for the initial thirty five days at blue ridge, honestly. I am not perfect, a work in progress, but I am a hell of a lot better than I was 18 months ago. If you want it bad enough, the people here will show you how to get it. Since leaving, I decided to do an outpatient program and continue going to meetings. I got a job offer shortly after in the mountains of CO and took it. I changed a lot of things but it took a lot of time. I have lost about 70 pounds since I left and now feel like I am healthy, to some degree, in all aspects. I have a sponsee now too, and he's doing really well. I say all that not to brag, but as an example of how the promises that you hear, that sound too good to be true, will absolutely materialize if you work for them. I am still not religious, but am very spiritual since my time here. I hope to keep updating this review as time goes on. Its interesting to see how my perspective has changed in the past 7 months and it likely will continue to. I've gained a lot of clarity back, but in that process I have gained myself as well. The people here, all of them, are there to do their best to help you. Especially Jeff."
"Blue Ridge has been a critical part of my recovery. I attended the program in 2017 and still keep in touch with the network and also techs that works here. I was very nervous about the stay but everyone made me feel right at home. Anytime I had questions or needed to talk someone was always more than willing to help. I learned so much about addiction and the recovery process and I am forever grateful for BRMRC."
"I went through blue ridge twice, I was met with very compassionate, understanding and loving staff even when I was a very difficult client. They truly just wanted the best for me and helped me achieve that! I am coming up on a year sober this much and blue ridge made that possible!"
"By far the best treatment center in Georgia. The staff are incredible, they truly care about their patients. The program is informative and well done. I have nothing but good things to say and it literally saved my life"
"I brought my daughter here a year ago today. The family weekend was excellent. We chose Blue Ridge mainly because they told us their rehab was 30 days. But when she got there, they encouraged her to do a 2 week Relapse Program- which we were not even told was an option. They also gave her a counselor that was new, not adept, and had not been through addiction/recovery herself. After relapse, I (and many others) feel that a longer stay and even better attention is needed. I wish I had known that Blue Ridge was not on the same page. She died 5 months ago."
