Reviews of A Place For Me Counseling
"Totally unprofessional. I reached out to them to see if they worked with children. Set up I take for my 6 yr old autistic daughter. The therapist asked me about my availability and when I would like to start. I replied twice and have been ignored… no response… it’s not that serious to not waste someone time. If you’re not available at the time I requested, or couldn’t do it … just let that be known. Why he sooo unprofessional with a serious job a serious profession that requires professionalism. I really hate people wasting my time because there are a million therapist I could have used."
"Once you get past the intake process(which was a lot) this place is really worth it! Erlese Caruth is an amazing therapist! I've seen many therapist over the years and she is the first one that has helped me really understand more about my mental illness and how to identify my triggers. I love that she doesn't make me feel judged, and I feel really comfortable opening up to her. I really trust her with my mental health. Good luck to all of you out there looking for help, don't give up. It took me a really long time to find the right person and I'm glad I didn't stop until I did."
"They helped my child get through some very tough times using play therapy and family therapy. They taught me how to handle issues to calm him instead of me just screaming with frustration. I'm so appreciative of everything They did for our family."
"The therapist, Ms. Erlese Caruth, is warm and knowledgeable. I feel at ease with her. She made it easy for me to talk to her and I was extremely comfortable with her."
"avoid this place at all costs. i tried to go here for help during a really, really dark time in my life in late 2017. it had already been difficult to get help so when i finally found the courage and the energy to do so, i was excited and i expected care. but this place made the process of getting help that much more difficult and scary. they never answer the phone, even when they're supposed to be open and answering phones (i had to call 8x one day and they still never answered, never returned my calls despite my leaving voicemails. i had to call again days later and upon having a conversation, realized they had received my call and just hadn't called me back.) they overcharge for sessions with no sliding scales. they take weeks to take the money out of your account. they mess up taking money out of your account. the coordinator is never available but when they finally are, they're full of excuses for why such and such avoidable error happened. this whole process with them has just consisted of playing phone tag and frantically keeping hundreds of dollars in my account until they take out the money. this place seems either like a scam or just poorly run, either way it's one of the worst places to handle your mental health with. i highly highly suggest finding another location, another office, one that is actually capable of helping you with your mental health and aiding you in the process of getting help. i wish u the best with ur mental health."
