Reviews of Joe Stapp, MA, LPC, CPCS
"This counselor takes on too many clients and is not remembering the details. I entered into counseling with my sister. One of the big problems is sister has been twisting the truth to the family, he knew this. She twisted the truth in counseling and Joe forgot what I had told him. We would run out of time in the counseling sessions and so I would write to him to point out the truth twisting. He did not read my letters. He wound up being swayed by my sister and I had yet another flying monkey on my hands as counselor. He is a nice fellow, just not very discerning. I WAS pointing out some of the truth twisting in the counseling and Joe was not hearing me. I really felt like I had lost my voice in this counseling. I felt like I was facing yet another uphill battle to try to get this counselor's thinking turned around to the facts."
"Joe worked with my fiance and me to prepare us for our upcoming wedding. Joe was extremely knowledgeable and professional. He worked with us to give us the tools we need for a successful marriage. He not only built up our confidence, but made our relationship stronger. We looked forward to his visits and could not recommend Joe more. You will love him!"
"Joe is an absolutely a life changer to my step son. When we contacted Joe three years ago when we got full custody of him; it was what we had been praying for. He was a blessing, and the bonus was Joe come to the home, and made my step son comfortable. Joe had and made such a connection with my step son, instantly. Helping him through many issues, anger, ADHD, entitlement, school, manipulation and life skills needed for the future, that our son didn't have. We had called a contacted several other professional counselors and had almost given up. We are blessed that Joe was available and our son began to open up. Our son has made huge progress and strides, not only emotionally but academically. Joe is a professional. He is caring, great communicator, supportive, and one of a kind! He will be with us for awhile, maybe we will have him go off to college with him ;)"
"Joe is our 5th therapist and we have been very pleased with Joe. We changed because we did not feel a connection with the previous ones. Joe is prompt, courteous, empathetic , compassionate , professional and very effective in his therapy. We would highly recommend Joe Stapp to anyone needing counseling."
"Joe is always professional and has made amazing improvements with our son. He provides us tools to work with during the week and the home visits really made our son comfortable. He opened up and gained trust much sooner than we were expecting. I highly recommend him."
