"This year, a basketball team in the GAPPS, qualified for their region tournament, and therefore, according to the bracket posted on the GAAPS website, qualified for state. Unbeknownst to athletes, coaches, and athletic directors. This bracket was changed. Less than a week before the start of the tournament. This change was not communicated to any of the above. When attempts to contact the Director of Basketball failed, due do his poorly timed vacation, we were put in contact with the Director of Operations. When in contact with the Director of Operations of the GAPPS, we were shocked to find out that he too was unaware of when or why this change had been made. There are dozens of disappointed athletes, coaches, parents, and fans in the wake of this decision. I can’t imagine how difficult it would be for the coaches of the 4 teams kicked out of the playoffs with no prior warning, to tell their boys that despite the hard work, dedication, and character they’ve displayed throughout the season they won’t have a chance to compete for a state title. Embarrassing for the league and gut-wrenching for many young men."
"This is an outstanding organization that provide Private Christian and Parochial schools with a avenue for Varsity, Middle School, Elementary sports and, fine arts. They set the standard in Georgia for smaller schools to have the same opportunities that large public schools offer and more. I'm thankful and humble to be apart of it and look forward limitless future."
