"Unless you are in Academy, don’t expect to get what should be standard privileges (no guarantee of refs at your child’s games, no standard size goal during team practices because evidently they only belong to Academy fields, and just pray that you end up on a team that has a coach that knows what he is doing). Us lowly Rec soccer families just make do with what we are given."
"The advancement of talented children has nothing to do with talent, My son played here was one of the top defenders in U10 Boys. He could be listed to play for two teams. Coach Julio was great who made this boys win almost all their tournaments. I was looking forward to a great season however, it was ruined by sham tryouts 2023. After the tryouts, I had to track down the coaches left over 3 voicemails to get a response of how my son was listed in the low ranking team which I declined. In retrospect towards the end of season, the winning team was split and they went from playing against Top Georgia teams to playing against a team that was scored 39 goals. Splitting the team was necessary because its not an Academy but a Social Club with gatekeepers."
"The pre-academy experience was great, and my daughter developed a lot. Coach Ian and Jess were two of the best coaches I have seen work to develop players. My disappointment comes after receiving information on how my daughter could improve after she failed to make the academy team. The response sounded too generic and included working on passing the ball, which seemed to be a big complication for other young girls. My daughter doesn't have the "killer" mentality and knew some of the previous academy girls, so she made a point to pass to her friends in stride which most girls just lowered their head and attacked the goal. Her ability to get assists was where it seemed she may have had a shot, which is why the feedback was perplexing and seemed to be pre-written for responding to multiple parents. One must honor previous engagements, and my daughter played two sports in one day to honor both her coaches' expectations of her. The team selected some who have more than once abandoned soccer in order to ease the stress of their day, and some have shown only the initiative to score without regard for their teammates. My wife and I were shocked at some other players with extreme talent who didn't make the team but could use guidance at this age, and they have shown commitment, which is rare for youth. Our daughter works hard but isn't the best, so making a roster spot for 2 teams was more of a prayer than expectation. Hearing who did and didn't make the team was shocking as some girls had raw talent and extreme work ethic, needing only some guidance. Hopefully, these girls will try out for another club that sees their potential. As for my daughter, we are getting her the extra training and development she needs as her skill isn't quite where her dedication level is at, but she wants to improve. We will get her outside help to build off what Coach Ian and Jess have started. My deepest gratitude for the time and effort those two have taken to develop the kids."
"I've gone through the entire program as a player. I started off at the age of 3-4 and continued the process in the Recreational Program. These years were amazing, and I made great memories. I later went to experience Middle School soccer where I represented my school and got advised to play competitively on the GA Impact side of this club. I joined it as a freshman and saw my skill level develop quickly! Forever grateful for the memories and experiences this club gave me!"
"Daddy ball at it's finest! It's not how you play, but rather who you know or who's Dad coaches the team! Sub par coaching or lack there of. Four coaches in two years. Absolutely no guidance. They are great at running drills but provide absolutely no direction for your kid as to what they "need" to do to improve in order to take it to the next level. Lesson learned. There are much better clubs. Spend your money elsewhere."
