"Going To A Doctor’s Appointment At 32 Weeks Pregnant And As Your Expressing Your Concerns To The Midwife, She Stares At You With No Care, Shrugs Her Shoulders And Says “Idk What To Tell You, Talk To Somebody Else, I Have Other Patients” And Because I Refuse To Tolerate The Disrespect I Was Dismissed As A Patient At 33 Weeks And Gotta Try To Find Another Doctor. This Doctor’s Office Is A Joke And The Worst Ive Ever Been To. I Wish I Would Have Read The Reviews Prior! Please Find Another Provider If Possible!"

"This office needs to be shut down. I am currently pregnant with my third baby, and have had prenatal care here with all three pregnancy’s. I should have found a new doctor after my second, after being rescheduled for appointments on three separate occasions with no phone call or warning so when I would show up they would act like I was there at the wrong time even though the healow portal would show them changing the time at the last minute. But I ignored it and continued seeing Dr. Durkee through this pregnancy. I have pregnancy medicaid. I recently moved and when I updated my changes with DFACS they messed up my pregnancy medicaid. An error on their end. I caught this before the office did and called on December third to let them know my medicaid was cancelled and I was in the process of fixing it (I had an appointment December 4th for my three hour glucose test.) They said they were still able to run it and to come in for my appointment december 4th, that it was fine. I HAVE PLACENTA PREVIA. My next appointment was scheduled for December 28th at 28 weeks and I needed a follow up ultrasound to see where I am with that. HOWEVER, december 28th Lisa at the front desk called not only me but also my emergency contact to cancel my appointment saying my insurance was no longer running. She said “We are not able to see you until it is fixed but call when you fix it and we will get you back on the schedule.” Once again, I was 28 weeks pregnant. I went back and fourth between the health department and DFACS for a month trying to get this straightened out and finally February 3rd my medicaid was reinstated at 32 weeks pregnant. I called this office TWICE during this process in January trying to get proof of pregnancy and records to send to DFACS, so we were still communicating the ENTIRE TIME. As soon as my medicaid was fixed I called to “get back on the schedule.” Just to be told I’ve been too long with no prenatal care and now Durkee is refusing to see me. The same person, Lisa, who called not only me but also my emergency contact goes on to tell me “I can see right here your medicaid was active the entire time and you should have been coming to your appointments.” I have proof on my gateway account that it was messed up from November until now, and I have the phone record where she called to cancel my appointment, and where I called multiple times after that trying to straighten everything out. Again. I HAVE PLACENTA PREVIA. THEY cancelled my appointment and then proceeded to lie about it. I was never given the choice to still come in and bill medicaid when it was fixed. I was never given the choice to pay cash. I was told THEY COULD NOT SEE ME. Now I am 33 weeks and no other doctor will see me because nobody takes new medicaid patients after 30 weeks! Had Lisa mentioned that when she cancelled my appointment I would have found a new OB then! They have absolutely no idea what they’re doing, are completely unorganized and will lie to your face to cover up their mess ups. They sent me to the anderson clinic to finish my pregnancy and even they are confused why Dr Durkee is refusing care after doing all of my prenatal care with two previous pregnancy’s and up to 28 weeks with this one! Straight patient abandonment and neglect on their part. I have all of the proof of the lies and mess ups. Now I am stuck with no doctor and no care at 33 weeks with placenta previa until the anderson clinic can fit me in. If ANY complications come from this for me or my baby I promise i’ll be the last woman this is done to."

"Dr Durke was a great dr,,,brutally honest definitely made cry once but if i could he would deliver all my babies..he doesnt have the best bedside manor, but i definitely felt like my health and babys health came first well before feelings...i appreciated that Unfortunately that wont be happening. I tried to make my 1st appointment for the 2nd baby and they ended up cancelling it because my insurance hadn't gone into effect yet and that i was not allowed to pay out of pocket...that was the craziest thing to me. They told me if i got too far along they wouldn't be able to take me at all i asked what too far along was and she put me on hold came back and said well it just depends if we can fit you on the schedule ffwd im 10 weeks 1 day insurance has been figured out now im told they cant see me because im too far along or would be in a week when they could see me. Im frustrated because i asked the questions and was not given honest answers im also frustrated because no reason was given a to why i couldn't pay out of pocket. Having a baby is hard enough now i have to find a new doctor which truly is disheartening. I do recommend the doctors and midwife here....however i wish the front desk staff was more knowledgeable about their processes and procedures."

"Took my 16 year old here for issues she has been having saw Danielle the first visit and she felt heard and the staff was great. Came back for a follow up and Danielle was over at the hospital and saw Dr. Durkee. Horrible. The way he talked to my child had her in tears. Interrupted me several times when I tried to talk to him. Did not even review her records on why we were back in the office. Sad but because of the chances of her ever encountering him again we will not be going back."

"Unprofessional and very rude came into the office today to get a checkup the front was nice but the back office very rude and don’t know how to talk to people at all they. Must’ve forgot there’s other OBGYN’s in the Macon area …. I’ll be taking my business elsewhere I suggest you check out other locations this one is the worst….."
