"I’ve been coming here for over a year now, and I had a very important appointment yesterday. I have Cigna as my primary insurance and Medicaid as my secondary, which they told me they don’t take and I told them that’s fine just use my primary insurance please because I need to be seen today. They made me leave because they apparently refuse to see any patients that get any government assistance. It’s pregnancy medicaid but I told them I don’t need to use it, and they told me I wasted my time driving there because they absolutely will not see me. I’ve been seeing Dr Guthrie for over a year now and loved her! Not sure what happened with this office, but I’ll be sure to tell everyone I know to NOT waste their time coming here."
"I'd like to begin by expressing my heartfelt gratitude. For an incredible 28 years, Peachtree City OBGYN has been my trusted healthcare partner. Every visit has been nothing short of exceptional in terms of customer service. Dr. Guthrie deserves a special mention; her patience and attentive ear to my concerns have always left me feeling heard and valued. I've never questioned her guidance, given her extensive knowledge and approachability. Her professionalism consistently shines through in every interaction. Without hesitation, I wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Guthrie to anyone seeking top-notch care. She's not just a doctor; she's a guardian of health and a beacon of compassion."
"Utterly appalled by the unprofessionalism! In this day and age of digital advancements and Artificial Intelligence (AI) it's absolutely ludicrous that they insist on hard copies of insurance cards. Can you believe it? I had a perfectly valid digital copy, but they turned me away, citing the need for laborious paperwork that would consume a significant amount of their precious time. And guess what? They outright denied me! Take into account the wait just to secure an appointment in the first place. It's beyond words how utterly unacceptable and disheartening it is to witness a patient being denied essential care simply because of their archaic policies. I'm seething with anger and deep sorrow for anyone who has to face this kind of treatment in this day and age!"
"I waited to write this review until I switched to a different practice to be sure that it wasn't me and not them. I started going to this practice in 2006 when I was pregnant with my youngest daughter. They were great in the beginning but they slowly started to decline over the years. From longer waiting room times to phone calls never being answered or returned in a timely manner. The breaking point for me was when I started experiencing bleeding during intimacy. The 1st year I told Dr. Guthrie about it, she did a visual, said she didn't see anything, sent me on my way. Year 2, complained again, same result. Year 3, same complaint, same result. I thought by seeing Black, female Dr's that my concerns as a black woman would be taken more seriously and not brushed off. After switching, I finally got a Dr to HEAR my concerns and do what should have been common sense for a licensed and trained medical professional to do in the first place and do an ultrasound and biopsy. YEARS later, and with a suffering love life, I found out I had adenomyosis and had to have a hysterectomy. Guess what? NO MORE BLEEDING!!!! If Dr. Guthrie was more concerned about patient care this issue could have been resolved YEARS ago. It took a white, male Dr to finally take my concerns seriously and advocate for the patient!!!!!"
"I have been going to this OBGYN for 7+ years. I went in for an appointment today and was turned around because I did not have a physical insurance card. I drove from Duluth to Peachtree City, spent 1.5 hours in traffic just to be turned around because I didn’t have a physical copy of my insurance card. I told the receptionist countless times that I have a copy of it on my phone, but they still denied me. I made my appointment at my last visit, which was a year ago. The receptionist told me that the policy recently changed. If I’m coming in for a visit and the policy recently changed, why not send a notice in mychart? Why are there no signs posted of the recent change? Why not verify the member ID if that was a problem? After 7+ years, I would think they would have better relationships with their patients to not turn them around over a physical copy of their insurance card. My mom, sister and aunt goes to this doctors office. Neither I nor them will be returning."
