Fountain Hall
About the Business
Fountain Hall, located on Martin Luther King Junior Drive Southwest in Atlanta, Georgia, is a historic academic building that has been a significant part of the Morris Brown College campus since 1882. Originally built as the administration building for Atlanta University, Fountain Hall has a rich legacy and has served as a gathering place for generations of Black Americans seeking higher education.
Today, Fountain Hall houses offices, art studios, a gallery, and a chapel, and is named after Bishop William A. Fountain. The building is a National Historic Landmark and is listed in the National Register of Historic Places as a member of the Atlanta University Center Historic District.
The Fountain Hall Development Group is working to restore this important piece of history, and fundraising efforts are underway to support the preservation and rehabilitation of the building. Contributions to the fundraiser will help ensure that Fountain Hall remains a landmark for future generations and continues to be a symbol of educational excellence in the Atlanta community.
Save the Date for the upcoming event "God's Trombones" on Saturday, April 13th, and join us in preserving the legacy of Fountain Hall for years to come.
