"Agent Kim Henry 458883 Limber Insurance Group for Progressive. 1/23/24 My neighbor Samata tried patching me into a call with her mortgage company and insurance agent Kim Henry. My neighbor wanted me to explain to the agent that due to our subdivision having a master insurance policy through our HOA that covers the structure/exterior of the townhouse, homeowners are only required to have a condo policy rather than a total home insurance policy. Once the call connected, we overheard the agent (Kim) saying to the mortgage rep, “I don’t care about the neighbor she has nothing to do with this!” The mortgage rep chuckled uncomfortably. My neighbor hung up so I could not hear more. My neighbor called me back with an agent. I asked was this the young lady who said, “I don’t care about the neighbor she has nothing to do with this!” The agent (Kim) stated, “yes it is!” I stated, “you don’t need to care about me to help my neighbor. My neighbor reached out to me for assistance.” Kim said, “well I apologize if you think that was rude.” I expressed “your behavior is very rude, I was only trying to assist my neighbor, and I haven’t done anything to you for you to be rude towards me, I don’t know you, and I won’t allow you to be disrespectful.” I ended call while the agent (Kim) was still mouthing off. I understand people have bad days but this behavior was not warranted. I’m suspecting the agent (Kim) may have been annoyed with my neighbor who has broken English and while Samata was attempting to explain, the agent may have struggled to comprehend what her customer was trying to convey. I hate to say this but black women with these unprofessional attitudes is making all of us look bad. This was an opportune time to exercise patience, respect, and professionalism. I will be emailing corporate to let them know not only was the agent rude to a potential customer but also rude to a current customer who has been with their company for years. Neither of us deserved the attitude from this agent (Kim). I advised Samata to find another insurance company."
