New Horizons Institute of Counseling Ministry

The New Horizons Institute of Counseling Ministry is a Christian Counseling Domestic Mission of the United Brethren in Christ Church located in Suwanee, Georgia. Led by Dr. Pierre J. Samaan, a Clinical Pastoral Counselor and an Ordained Minister with over 30 years of experience, this institution seeks to provide true recovery to replace pain with healing peace. Dr. Samaan offers individual and couple counseling in person, by phone, and through video counseling sessions.

The institution is founded on Christ-centered recovery, with a focus on healing the brokenhearted, proclaiming liberty to the captives, and providing recovery of sight to the blind. Through a faith-based model of counseling and treatment, individuals can overcome symptoms of depression, fear, and anxiety, as well as traumatic circumstances. The institution also offers a Christian/Spiritual solution to drug and alcohol problems, with the goal of total healing through Christ-centered counseling.

Dr. Samaan's expertise includes crisis intervention, utilizing a multiaxial assessment approach to determine the severity of each client's needs. Referrals to medical professionals are provided when necessary, to ensure comprehensive and systematic assessment. Dr. Samaan has also been certified in Critical Incident Stress Management interventions, offering pastoral crisis intervention to individuals experiencing unusual and upsetting events.
