"My father IS a patient here of Dr Chowdhurry. Has been for 2 1/2 years since his diagnosis. Everything was fine until the last 6ish months. He has been telling them since then that he was getting worse and worse and instead of doing additional scans they just say “that’s just part of having cancer”. Fast forward to the last 2 wks he’s been essentially starving to death and we had to admit him in our local hospital. He’s been in the hospital for AN ENTIRE WEEK and not a single word from CoH despite NUMEROUS phone calls and voicemails to his team! I have to call over and over, be sent to voicemail after voicemail, until I finally get someone and then it’s just to say they’ll look into it. My father is literally dying and they can’t be bother to return a damn phone call."
"My Mom was there for ovarian cancer. Instead of given hope and uplifting words. The head Doctor, (some lady) was rude and talked down to her. Really Dr, you have some nerve. My Mom was there for 3 months and they treated her for everything but Cancer. Why? you ask, because she had A1 insurance.... and they like that there. They talk a good one, but couldn't deliver."
"CTCA isn't concerned with treating cancer. They're only concern is making a dollar. They will take commercial insurance and self-pay but won't take Medicare insurance because they don't pay as much on the bill. Had a relative who was basically prevented from going there becuase of her Medicare coverage. It's a shame because sometimes, it's our older citizens who need the "advanced treatments" in order to survive. Maybe our society is turning into "survival of the fittest." I certainly hope that's not the case."
"We went here hoping to get better treatment for my wife’s cancer because that’s all they deal with is cancer. I’m very disappointed in the treatment that we had up there her oncologist was leaving when we went back up there for our next appointment so I don’t know what happened there But we had had several treatments up there which nothing seemed to be working and it had spread to her bones and shoulder and all over the place. So while we were there we saw another lung cancer doctor Dr R which was terrible and rude to us, so we never went back there again . I did complain to one of the directors Mr. B, and he was going to check into all of this and get back with me,I never heard back from him and it’s been over a year."
"I am writing a review because of the negative ones I have seen. First let me address the comments about if your advance stage they won’t help you because it can effect stats. I had stage3B aggressive uterine cancer. Note I said had. I am cancer free right now. But I have a tumor invading a kidney that has a high presentage chance of cancer that I will have surgery for in the fall. The staff are caring and kind. I have never had any issues. I had surgery that involved a 3 day stay. 5 rounds of chemo and 31 radiation treatments! I have received bills, it’s a business. They naturally take steps to collect .I don’t understand the outrage in some reviews because of this. They will work with you. A social worker is also available and can help you see if there are options from other sources for help. The guest accommodations team is simply fantastic! Helpful and friendly. Scheduling are angels! My travel ability can be tricky, they always work it out and are never rude or short with me if they have to make changes several times. Dr. Garg is the most gifted, caring doctor. The radiation department won my heart! Especially Paul, one of the nurses. Go, visit. I started with a local doctor. When he told me about the kidney tumor I remembered the commercials for CTCA. Forget what you have read that are so negative. Go with an open mind and heart like I did. I found HOPE."
