"Do not attend this school or give these people your money. Ernold Simmons is the worst admissions manager I’ve ever spoke with. If you plan on using your WIOA Funds go somewhere else unless you have a spotless record and I mean SPOTLESS because they will judge just because your using WIOA FUNDS. Told me I couldn’t be accepted because of a misdemeanor not being 5 years old. His reasoning was because they need to place after you get your CDL (there rules) when WIOA tells you to have jobs lined up before you get funds. Asked me if I was going to do over the road I said no he then said “ why not don’t nobody want you at home”. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL AND RUDE. Told me over the phone I didn’t need anything for my appointment then I get there and now I need 7 year MVR and background check. Told me a misdemeanor only matters to them because of WIOA FUNDS but if I pay with cash I can attend classes. The bad reviews about the school are 100% no matter how old they are. As the admissions director he has the “ my way or the highway” approach so it’s play nice to get accepted. This man should be fired and removed and website should be changed because you don’t want to accept funds do to you not being able to charge interest to bill. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THESE PEOPLE UNTIL THEY GET NEW MANAGEMENT."
"Jumping into starting the journey to get my Cdl-A and career. So far Latoya followed up with me today and was very informative and definitely helped in putting me at ease in unknown territory. Looking forward to coming in to get more questions answered."
"This School is a joke. The instructor’s on the year and the Road are the only people keeping this school moving. The people in power are lazy, Especially the owner. All he does is take your money, but never show his face. He underpay his employees. Micromanage everything over there. The trucks are old and nasty. Wouldn’t recommend"
"This experience was one I was not expecting. From start to finish this is an extremely fast pace straight foward process to (earn) your class a CDL. You will not be getting a free handout. You must put in the effort yourselves to get the CDL your after. The instructors are all amazing individuals and all top tier. I haven’t met a single instructor with a negative attitude. I got my CDL here and so did my father this will always remain a great memory and an awesome experience for myself and for him. I am glad I spent the money to do this program and I would not change a thing about it. I feel a true sence of accomplishment after this school and I am thankful for the opportunity to have been here and done that. Thank you GDA and thank you to all the instructors that I’ve had the pleasure of meeting!"
"What I can say is, I passed. So to me that means the instructors did their job very well. Giving us the basic skills and knowledge to safely drive on the road, do maneuvers and learn how to check our vehicles before we get on the road. Now the entire first two weeks I was stressed out trying to learn so much in a short amount of time. My week in the yard was the toughest because the trucks weren't all acting right at the time...they were breaking down, so it just wasn't easy to learn maneuvers that week. I wish the owner/director would put more money into the undercarriage of those trucks, seriously. Still passed though because again, the instructors gave us key tips on how to handle those raggedy trucks, and it worked. So kudos to all my instructors, not one was better than the other for the simple fact I learned something important from every single one, from the classroom to the road. I had a great time with them and my classmates. Kristen and Mr. T were super cool too. It was a loooong 3 three weeks at GDA but I made some good memories."
