Reviews of Fort Valley State University
"I’ve been having registration issues since October. They told me every class I applied for was full. It’s the start of spring semester and they added 6 classes on my schedule without notifying me and I’ve missed the first day of several classes because I had no clue that I even had them. I’ve emailed everyone I can and nobody has gotten back to me."
"Didn't appreciate this place when I was here years ago, but that's why I'm leaving a good review. This place taught me how to hustle for everything in life. I see a lot of people complaining about things like broken elevators and other things, but as I'm reading these reviews. I remember staying in dorms with none of that, and having to haul stuff up a narrow stair case of dorms that are now torn down. This place has come a long way compared to when I was here in 2008-2014 and even my sister who had it much worse than me in 2000 when she was there. If you're trying to compare this place to UGA or GA Southern, or Georgia Tech then I got bad news for you, but you're not getting that experience here, but I can promise anyone that attends this place in the future. You'll get an "Experience" that not even UGA or Southern can give out. No shade to those schools, but it's the truth. Edit: Google told me this passed 10,000 views didn't expect that at all, but just to add. For future students what you'll get is understanding the "struggle" what "By any means necessary" also network network network! There are many who graduated here doing great things myself included in the world. We work in/at Government(Local, State, and Federal), Microsoft, ConocoPhillips, School Districts as Principals and Teachers, Software Developer, Information Technology and more."
"The campus is clean, police presence is good, it’s a safe space for sure. Dorms are decent. I would send my child to that fine HBCU, if that’s where they choose to go."
"Very beautiful campus with helpful students all around willing to help. We came during graduation weekend and it was very busy. Does not have many snacks and food options available but otherwise no complaints!"
"Had to help a family member move out of her dorm and the elevators were out of service so we spent literally spent hours constantly taking the stairs and carrying items to the car from the 3rd floor after the graduation. Do better Fort Valley."
