Reviews of Henderson Middle School
"I went to this school in the 1970s, when it was Henderson High School. We had an EXCELLENT public school education. Our classmates have gone on to do great work in medicine, science, government, business and the arts."
"Not a good school, but not a bad school. Some teachers (especially Dr.Baker) will hate your guts and are just very rude and unfair, while other teachers are actually nice. But I am not just judging the school by it's teachers, but mostly by how it is built. I know that the school is very old, but other schools that I have been to had the energy to do this. In the building, the tiles are falling down all over the place, three toilets were broken this year, and the air conditioning is bizarre, especially in the trailers. Instead of fixing the building itself, they are making a new building, which is not really necessary. The school lunch is horrible there and there has also been a lot of outages this year; one has happened just a week ago. Gym at Henderson is like a joke. We barely do anything except for sitting around and talking to our friends, and doing one game once in a while. There is only one gym teacher that actually has the effort to teach us about sports and lets us actually exercise. Also, the 7th grade counselor is ridiculous! Just this year, she started talking to the whole seventh grade for at least an hour, and the whole time, she was just talking about how literally everyone was stalling in the bathrooms (which was not true), and how they were going to shut down all of the bathrooms from us. Also, during the meeting, she told us that we were not allowed to touch literally anyone! And the only thing that we could do was high five them, or else we would get in big trouble. Do you see how stupid that is? And I am not even joking. But overall, the school is not an excellent school, but it is okay enough for me to at least give it a 2/5 because I did have a bit of fun while I was there."
"This school sucks. The children here are very discriminatory. The school is very old and the hearing has not worked for at least three years. In the trailers which will supposedly be gone next year no one cares about the students. We have to sit in 90 degree heat because the county refuses to fix the air conditioning. There are fights often. If you are on team 8E expect not to go anywhere and be the only eighth graders left at school while everyone else is out having fun. This is the worst school I've been to and I've been to more schools that your average kid. Honestly send your kids to a more enriching and updated school that actually cares about their kids. EDIT: Also all the kids do here is send nude photos and talk about how much they want sex at the age of twelve so yeah there are also many bad influences here not to mention racists and bullies"
"This school is the worst school I have ever been to! This school has so many bad people and teachers. I am ashaimed to tell people that I go there. I would advise to never go here. The only good people are Mrs. Broad and Mr. Duncan! If you are thinking about sending your children here, don't! There are also very many fights at this school. At least one every week. There are also a ton of bullies and no one cares about them except the people getting bullied."
"Teachers teach very well. I am enjoying my time here in 8th grade. All the other reviews are inaccurate. they only call the teachers stupid because they did bad things and got in trouble. Students don't seem to fight much anymore, maybe 1 fight every couple of moths. Overall Great school and may extracurricular activities and sports. Only downside is the over crowding."
