Reviews of Impact Academy
"I want to give them a Zero but I can't. Anyways, I hate impact so much and I'm happy I have left that awful school. I'm currently in 5th grade and The only good teachers I've had my entire time I was there. In fourth grade my teacher left then I was with a Sub then I keep on getting switched until I landed with Ms. Burnham and Mrs. Brewton they where the best teacher I've had so I really don't even remember the last time I haven't had assignments I was so stressed it got to the point my mom took our chromebooks to the school and took us out now I'm happy I can really learn something useful and Have real friends!!!"
"First of all my 6th grade school year here is absolutely TERRIBLE!!! They need to fire Mrs.Parken because she gives all the students HIGH SCHOOL assignments and doesn't even give clear instructions on how to do them I feel like she is just trying to make all of her students fail their 6th grade school year. Ms.Weldon is the best teacher here at Impact she does not deserve to being working with people like Mrs.Parken. Mr.Brown's class is alright but I feel like he has a bit of an attitude and his work is kind of hard. So please parents DO NOT SIGN UP YOUR CHILD TO GO HERE YOU WILL HONESTLY REGRET IT!!!"
"Horrible experience! My daughter took American Sign Language as her foreign language at Impact. Her 2nd year was taken during her junior year, but by the end of the year they told her there was a part B to the course but they said they'd give her the credit since it was their fault for not posting part B assignments for her. Then now after a month into her senior year they're telling her that she has to complete the part B on top of her 3 dual enrollment courses and another course at the academy. They extended her deadline, of course, because they slacked on taking care of this matter. She could've taken it over the summer but now it's putting more stress on her with all her responsibilities during senior year. All Impact said was that they're sorry and the teacher took responsibility. What does taking responsibility for messing up a senior's schedule mean is that the teacher admitted she made the mistake, while my daughter has to pay for it. Now my daughter has no choice but to take it because she needs it to graduate. The principal claims she understands but she doesn't. My daughter is in tears because of her added workload, this is her senior year and this wasn't what she expected. The school's negligence effects my daughter but no consequences befalls on the teacher who failed to do her job. And for some reason my daughter was the only one who was effected by this mistake. I would not recommend your child to use Impact but if they must then make sure to double check their courses to make sure they get all parts of the course. ."
"They really need to get rid of Mrs.Osborne! How can these teachers learn about anything about your child when it's too many online. Plus your child will be mix in with other kids with behavioral issues. They will keep trying to teach over kids that's being disruptive versus redirecting them. I know everything can't be on the teachers bc they are at home with their guardians. This program needs to be reevaluate before allowing anyone to sign up. Please parents do your due diligence before setting your kids up in any program. Make sure they can handle it first."
"Shakirah Weldon is such an exceptional teacher! She's understanding, patient, and seems to care. This woman takes extra time out of her day and tutor children who needs the help. I emailed her one day and she called me within 30 minutes. I'm so thankful there are teachers like her. My son really likes her and looks forward to attending her class daily. Thanks for being an outstanding teacher Mrs. Weldon! Impact Academy needs you."
