"This is by far THE worse school I have ever encountered. The teachers are ghetto and unprofessional. They are confrontational and act like the children. Gossiping with the kids. And that security guard acts like the high school bully. I now understand why the students have started fighting, killing and sleeping with the teachers. *Response* Reading is fundamental and you, Steven Green II, proved my point. It shows that you come from this school. No one said the school became ghetto out of thin air....my reasons as other reviewers' reasons for their opinions were stated....those reasons are what (in our opinions) make the school ghetto. "As a graduate from long middle school 3 years ago, let me explain my side. School doesn't have to be ghetto. Not does a teacher or a student have to be. A school is as ghetto or professional as the faculty/staff, administration, and STUDENTS make it. Now, C.W. Long Middle School is not ghetto from my understanding. Yes, it's maybe in a low income neighborhood. But, a school at the end of the day is not going to turn up ghetto out of thin air. When I went to long, I always had to deal with class disruptions FROM SELECT STUDENTS. There were some students who were willing to be educated like normal​. But, there were as I said students who distracted others and made the teacher "act ghetto". I can understand if a teacher or student had a bad morning. But, for a teacher to come to school and have random attitude, not possible. It takes up to the first 2 weeks for a teacher to know who a student is by discipline. I know that bcuz i am a third year in ROTC. But, the administration was not hesitating to stop a fight by all means. Just know everyone, a school alone can't become ghetto. It's the people in the school that makes it ghetto. (Btw, I am not calling Long Middle School ghetto. Above is an air quote I created to determine the minds of those who thinks a teacher or a school becomes ghetto out of thin air.)"
