GCA is a great alternative to brick-and-mortar, as a diverse and all-encompassing online school."

"I have been a Family Engagement Liaison at GCA for the past 5 years; prior to that I was a high school English teacher here. The school is a great fit for many families. Teachers are compassionate and really work hard to engagement students and offer them a safe place to be successful. We are the only virtual school that I know of with the Family Engagement Liaison role. We hold our families hands, check on them monthly, advocate, support, listen, encourage. "Georgia Cyber Academy is a great online public school option for those families that have great learning coach & family involvement and partnership. The school provides great learning support and the learning coach/family picks up from there by supporting the learning, supervising, and guiding the student in the physical environment. The Family Engagement Team works great with families to make sure they have everything they need. There is a learning curve if you are not technologically savvy as all communication comes via email or the school's portals. My suggestion is to use an email for the school separate from your personal email to make sure you don't miss out on any communication. With both sides doing their part, this is absolutely an amazing public school option for school choice."
