"Some teachers are rude, write you up fast, and overall just don’t give you a pleasant experience. Some teachers are nice, and actually help you, but you don’t see it too often. A lot of friends complain about how rude their teachers are. Had a friend who said her teacher didn’t like her ponytail and complained about it to her mom, had friends who’ve gotten written up for ridiculous reasons and such... even stories of teachers signing kids agendas when the kid isn’t even in their class and they aren’t doing much. Overall though, it’s a good school and I would have to say many teachers are nice."
"I think that this school is great because it prepares you really well for Walton, or any other high-workload Highschools. If you are bright or at least hardworking you will do amazing at this school."
"Totally AMAZING school, to put in short. The teachers are really VERY nice, just that you have got to do your part and put some effort in your work. They are one of the BEST schools in Georgia, as they really have good test scores. I would HIGHLY recommend this school for all who want to really excel in their academics!!"
"Way too dependent on test scores; relies too much on homework and some teachers (cough green cough cough) just don't know how to teach. Advanced band and percussion definitely make for a perk but graffiti issues in some of the bathrooms have been irritating students as they had to go through ridiculous and unnecessary punishments as a result of the actions of the class before them. Although in some aspects it is worthy of it's high ranking in GA."
"I did go there through 3 years as a kid and only enjoyed my first year. Then i got a permit to become a math teacher and have 1 language arts class in dickerson. Honestly i hate the school. The school is one of those schools that only care about test scores for the CRCT and other cobb county tests. Many of the students suffer because of this. One child did not receive the help he needed to raise his grades because they only care about test scores first, and then help the left out children. Really??? honestly if your rich and your kid has good grades go there for the good environment but if your child wants help with grades, i recommend a different school."
