"Its an okay school. It has pretty good lunches. Good teachers. The only problem is that some students feel like its okay to do bad things. Also sometime When I go to the bathroom I find a roach or two. But besides the bad students and the unsanitary bathrooms this school is pretty good."

"this school is very trashy i have only been here for about a couple of months and they act like roaches some of the teachers don't even bother to put in grades. and they act really retard and we only start to get our grades updated at the end of the quarter and i just hate this school and if if you send you child to this trashy nasty ugly school with this bad teacher in 8th grade who doesn't even control his class and if you really want your child to have the best then you better not send your kids to this nasty school he will get food poisoning and he will get aids and herpes and other nasty things that this school contains. thank you"

"Graduated from 8th grade here in 2010, and can honestly say it was the happiest moment of my life. I went through hell in this school, the kids were incredibly cruel and I still deal with depression that was caused partly because of the kids there and how the teachers didn't even handle it. I went to the administrators on numerous occasions, and so did my few friends, over bullying issues and nothing was ever done about any of it. Not to mention the education. My family moved after I entered high school and transferred me to Harrison in Kennesaw, which is a much better school. I wasn't bullied there except on one occasion, which I handled myself within a few weeks. I entered high school and found myself completely lost with math, language arts, etc because I wasn't taught half the things that the teachers (non AP ones in fact) were talking about and the kids already learned in middle school. I wouldn't suggest this school to anyone that has better options."

"Floyd Middle School in Mableton, GA has actually turned out to be a really good school. My son has been attending Floyd since 6th grade and has not experienced any issues. He has maintained a A and B average and continues to remain on the Honor Roll. In addition, he is on the Beta Society, Robotics team and is an active basketball player (AAU). Like any school, Floyd has it's issues. The major area I would like to see improvements in would be in their ability to put together quality student events (honor roll ceremonies, band performances, etc.). Also, find ways to move disruptive children from the classrooms that have students who want to learn. And lastly, the cleanliness of the boys and girls bathrooms (bleach needed). Overall, I have been quite impressed with the academics and faculty for the past two years. Since attending Floyd MS, my son can now say he is an author. The school put together a hand full of boys to each write 2-3 chapters of a book on "30 Core Values Worth Knowing: From a Middle School Point of View". So, needless to say, I would definitely recommend Floyd Middle School to up and coming 6-8 graders."

"Well my son is in the 7th grade and I purchased a phone for emergencies because I feel everyone is not going to know how to reach out to me if something was to happen to him. Unfortunately he did not cut all alarms off on his phone and it was taken. My husband is disabled and I work two jobs so the option of coming up to the school is not in good chances. So I called the school to express my concern and they totally blew me off and then pretty much told me they cannot release his phone to him. It is snowing here and they are not releasing the kids till 2:15 pm. which is ridiculous because I just left from the road and they are bad. The worst part is if something happens on the school bus he has no way to call me! Ok education is important but my childs safety is even more important. I don't like how they are handling this situation and now I am worried about when my other two children start going to this school next year. I am really contemplating moving just so they don't have to attend this school which will be a stress factor on me. The staff is terrible. Then the teacher told him that standing over her for his phone is only going to make matters worse! No it is about to be worse if I have to go up there and get his phone! I am so mad, worried, and dissatisfied right now Its not even funny. I know if they are not taking safety precautions as they should this is a matter of incompetence. I don't just send my son to school for an education but to be safe while obtaining that education and anyone who gets in the way of that I am not a fan of."
