"i remember this place as HDS (human development services) i was living in the building on the left when i was a student of Ga school for the deaf from 1995-2000. the boys at the GSD dorm was always picking on me, so the school made arrangements for me to be a HS student living with college students. in my dorm, the boys was on the right and the girls were on the left yellow line on the floor of both sides, we are not allowed to cross. BUT if i wanted to speak to a girl, i could easily ring the doorbell light (light flashes for deaf people) and then ask her if she could get the person for me i would set alarm early to wake, shower then notify houseparents i'm walking to school. i had some money so i always stopped by the restaurant by giant propane tank, it was a very small building BUT it's not there anymore, unless i'm remembering wrong spot biscuits and gravy is what i'd get sometimes 2 miles to walk to the school and i was always arriving soaked in sweat the teachers asked why I'm wet. walking from HDS to GSD. then the principal made arrangements for staff to pick me up daily Oh I forgot. There were homeless cats there and we were not allowed to have animals in the dorm. I opened my window, pushed out the screen then meowed for the cats. Staff thought I was howling at the moon til a lady on the outside smoking cigarettes asked what I was doing The lady allergic to cats and could tell cats had been in my dorm room They called the state and they threatened to kick me out if I didn't stop letting cats in the dorm. When I walk into town, I'd buy cat food. On my way to school one morning, there was this one eyed I named Charles. The teachers and kids all talked about a cat In a matter of hours, the entire student body and staff knew whose cat it was. After school, Charles walked 2 miles back to dorm School ends and mom comes to take me home. I asked if I could take him home. She saw 10 cats. No! No mom, just this. Ok He died from run over a few months later when I was out of town at my dad's but nobody told me for years"
"My sister’s comes here. When I went to enroll her, everyone was really friendly and nice. The facility was also very clean. The place has a nice view of a hill at front. It was quite and not a lot of traffic around there. This place helps students a lot with everyday life and employment. They even teach them how to drive. I highly recommend this place."
